'bout time. It'd be good to start throwing some proper creator interviews up and please not "1 minute chunk" ones which youtube is awash with.
ARSOM!
Owoh yeyah.
I've also thrown some favourites around to 2000AD-related YouTube videos, so it can also be a bit of a hub for videos the Spread the Word. If anyone spots any others then throw in a link here and someone will have a look at and see if it fits in. Wasn't there one from back in the day where someone wanders around the 2000AD offices and speak to the droids, in their meatsuits so as not to scare the humes.
That's great Emperor once again you excel yourself. Do you want to include all the old adverts and interviews that are dotted around? If I get a chance later in the week I'll dust of my old librarian skills and do a trawl if you fancy?
Good one w3bz!
Cheers
Steve
Love the advert,8p a copy back in the day with a free space spinner, great stuff.
Cool! Liked seeing the original Advert again!

(points to Emperor) -> thank him, he did the work ;)
No problem - it didn't take very long, it all came together pretty easily.

Excellent - if you have a look at the favourites there are interviews (even found one with Lee Carter which was new to me), reviews and little features on different aspects of 2000AD, so you'd want to dig out more of the same. And if our librarian powers can find that video of a seventies/early eighties visit to the Nerve Centre then that'd be great, as my mighty web-fu has failed me there.

The Madness Nerve Centre visit was on youtube but now seems gone.
That's me signed up. There's loads of twiothy stuff on youtube, it'll be good to have it all together.
No idea how to link them but these rather odd TV ads were a surprise to me recently.

What a great weekend for videos around 2000ad. :)
Just watch Kev's chat to gosh and the ultra cool 25 year Anniversary bash. Hey, if geeks are getting girls like that, show me where to sign up, man!
First time I've seen John Wagner move and speak. The guy's like a Scottish Ben Grimm!. V. Cool, with a major WTF moment at the end there after eyebrows guy. :)
Any chance of my fan made stuff being linked or is it just for official content?

I'm only uploading official teaser/trailer videos (at the moment) but will favourite fan work (I just added Shark's competition video) but none of those links take me anywhere useful - if you give me a link to your channel I can dig them out from there or copy and paste in the direct link to the videos (it is under "share" on the upgraded interface) like this:

OK the Ichabod trailer is now online:

Which I think is it for now, at least until we get some new trailers.

Perhaps he was a bit warm? ;)
Anyone here on that video? You'd imagine the people who appear there are hardcore fans so should surely be around here somewhere.

There was!! Can't find a direct source for it as the trailer site is down but there must surely be a back-up somewhere.

hi,
great to see 2000AD now has its own youtube channel. I've just uploaded a video you may be interested in linking to. Not complete yet, its every 2000AD cover one after the other. It's a simple idea that no-one seems to have done yet. Maybe because the task of stringing together 1700 covers seems a bit daunting. Anyway I've reached up to Prog 300 and it didn't take too long so I intend to keep building bit by bit until I've included every Prog. I'll probably upload a new one every 100 Progs.
Currently it shows 3 Progs per second but I'm thinking I'll increase the rate of Progs per second as I add more Progs to keep the whole video length from getting too long.
Eventually I hope to end up with every single cover, ten per second in a 3 minute video.
Note that at top quality 1080p the covers look great but I suggest you pause playback immediately and wait for it to download before playing. Even then depending on your computer speed, in full screen mode frames & therefore covers will be skipped.
Every cover to 300 is there tho', honest!
I Welcome your thoughts, particularly with regard to a possible soundtrack and the no. of covers per second.
Regards
Aero.
My youtube channel is "Aerovidtube"
Video is at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pxn1IehP74E
Thats mighty fine.
What about the Meg's, Annuals, Specials, Year books.
You have started so you must finish it in its entirety. ;)
V
hi vzzbux,
I already thought about doing the Megs nexy. I reckon after doing 1700 Progs just 300 measly Megazines will be easy-peasy, eh?
Of course I don't have to get all the glory, so if you're volunteering to do the Megs while I get on with another 1400 Progs, be my guest! ;)
Would love to but don't get much time to do stuff like that.
Oh and don't forget to do Crisis as well.
V
Hi vzzbux,
there ya go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiCP9OIUYto
Took less than an hour all in. About 15 mins to get all the covers in one folder and rename them, 10 mins to set up the video, 10 mins for it to be rendered and 15 mins to upload to youtube.
It was a useful excercise, because once I've reached Prog 520 I'll be done with all the finickity trimming of the white borders round the scanned covers and it such be much faster going for the remaining 1200 Progs...
I reckon I might have the full 1700 done before Prog 2011 arrives on my doorstep come December. Now there's a thing... should I include the Annual Progs in my video?
Aero
Good stuff - it is now added to the favourites.
