Calling all the faithful Southern Contingent, it seems that our next meeting date has been taken out of our hands by Tharg.
Yes folks it's gonna be at Forbidden Planet on the 1st September at the normal time of 12:00. I think the event is from 13:00 - 14:00, so that will suit us fine!
Not only will you meet the lads again but you will also see the following confirmed droids :-
Simon Bisley - Dave Gibbons - Dan Abnett - Rufus Dayglo - Ben Willsher - Lee Townsend - Clint Langley - Boo Cook - John Higgins - Alec Worley and I'll be there as Judge Burdis as well ;)
I'm sure we'll have a large turn out, as usual and we can also give it one last push in the trying to get SBT to see the film!
I'll try and make it, barring any work commitments!
I really want to make this but may be playing cricket that day. Let's hope it gets rained off.
I'll be at the Bristol one - just a little closer and therefore cheaper to get to - !
It's always fun to meet up with fellow borders so I'll be there.

so more money for the Grundy's Cider Club!
Should be a laugh. Count me in.
Should be there, hard to resist Burdis doing his judge thing.
I hope to be there too.
Had an email confirming my timings at FP, 12:00 - 14:00, so be on your best behaviour ;)
I shall pop along to the pub for a water before I wander about the streets. I see Leicester Square isn't far away :-\
I will be waging a Total War style campaign of custard pie-based atrocities to avenge my forgotten Northeastern brothers. It will be a real Day of Custar... erm Chaos.

You can always commandeer one of those rickshaws.
No bike cannon though.
Might actually be able to make it
Having moved cityblock twice (such fun) since the last one, I'm now faced with a deep financial crisis over this signing. New Freezer or Signing.
Drokk it. The scoffing of rancid meat and quaffing of formerly solid ice-cream is a small price to pay for the opportunity to fawn and slobber over those droids. I shall just have to remember to brush my teeth before doing so.
Alas I'm working that Saturday, with no way to get out of it! :'(
Hope all who go have a great time-and take plenty of piccies! :)
Bollocks. Forgot I'd already arranged to go to the Shoreham Airshow on the same day. Have fun boys and girls.
BTW, when Judge Burdis is in full regalia he likes nothing better than having his leather clad buttocks smacked with a rolled up prog.
As much as he may protest otherwise.
Kerrin speaks the truth, I love it :-[

Particularly a mint Prog 1 as he bites down on the Space Spinner.
I don't think I'm going to make it to this one. :( Very busy that weekend.
Hope theres loads of photos.
I will be in the Olympic Stadium during the signing watching the Athletics.
Not sure i'll make this one, anyone up for heading down Leicester Square the next wkend & catching 'Dredd'? I know me & CF discussed getting a group together last meet
Chi
Yeah we need to get a group together to go and see it again.

That would be fun. I can't make it the weekend of the films release as I am away for a couple of days but during that time Mrs Albion had agreed to come and see it. :)
I'm going to make it to one of these, one day - gigging in Nottingham on the 1st. Bugger.

I'm up for that.
Probably best I don't spend too much at FP the week before then...
Looking forward to this. Always a great laugh these meet ups. Hopefully there is a good turnout again.
I agreed to meet up with some guys that day, forgetting about this event! I think I'll be able to make both though (the other event is for dinner so will probably be in the evening although I haven't been given a time yet) but I'll need to leave fairly promptly.
Actually that still give me a few hours but I just know how quickly time flies during these things!
Looks more likely that I'll be able to make this tomorrow. The captain of the cricket team has agreed not to pick me (which I'm sure broke his heart) so unless someone gets drunk tonight and pulls out I'll be at FP for the signing.
HURRAH!
We shall see you there. I reckon a few of us may have those new heavy Art books to be signed ;)
Not those of us who are having to wait two weeks for the standard version to be released. :(
I'm afraid I won't be there tomorrow. I've had a rough few days, and all that coupled with not being paid what I should have been paid, has made it a bad idea to even attempt this. Hope you all have a splendid time!
SBT
You can come and watch the film next time ;)

Slaine movie? Revere movie? Savage, starring a resurrected Ronnie Barker, circa Porridge?

Now surely Carlos is still in London...
What I did over the day is now up in my blog, click the link or just click HERE! (http://cellarofdredd.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/dredd-day-forbidden-planet-london-and.html)
I even popped into our pub!

That was a good day's Judging with Judge Burdis in Brit-Cit (London). I was quite surprised how every few paces in the street I would hear someone say "Judge Dredd!". Many people were very good sports. Planet Replica costume up close is amazing.
Here are a bunch of my photos. Apologies if I am showing too many here.
Outside Empire Leicester Square. Look at that scowl:

This youngster actually mentioned Stallone. He looks like a Brett Ewins drawing:

That polisman looks about ten !!
Just a sign of getting old when police look really young. He was a good sport. He asked for a photo to be taken with his phone.
