I realize this is not in the correct forum but I can't post in the Film Discussion threat yet. I started this page and really started promoting it last night and it's gone from 263 likes to almost 700 in about 8 hours. Figured if it was promoted on here, it would get more likes and serve as sort of a petition to try and get a sequel. Long shot but worth a try. If you want a Dredd sequel (or absolutely anything else in life for that matter) it's going to take a lot more than a facebook page. Nothing was ever achieved off the back of facebook 'likes'. Internet petitions achieve nothing, if they did, we be several seasons into Firefly by now.

abduct Harvey Weinstein
make him watch dredd and subsequently fall in love with it
get it re released in the US with weinsteins backing and all that funk.
2014 baftas/oscars clean sweep
remove the abduction and replace dredd with 'the artist' and thats how it happened in 2011(cannes)/2012.
if a film came out of firefly...then a series would come out of dredd.

Although DNA Films would love to make further Dredd films it is not a decision that rests entirely with us and currently Kickstarter campaigns are not a viable option to fully finance these projects. We do appreciate the enthusiasm generated through social network campaigns and will be monitoring their progress.

Hey, I support this because Dredd (2012) deserves more recognition. I'd love a sequel, but hey - I'll settle for others being more aware of it. :D Good on you guys for taking the initiative.
