This is being held at Earls Court over the weekend of 11th/13th July.
Due to the 2012 leathers fiasco, this will be the event when all the Judges will be on patrol. Planet Replicas, comic variants, 2012 and their variants, plus some other stuff. So if you want to have a laugh and meet some celebrities that do their stuff at convention, then come along. This should look impressive from a 2000 AD fans point of view!
By the way, did I forget to mention, John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra will be there!
Now that sounds good for my first Con visit!
You should start a Hell-Trek down from Geordieland ;)
It seems that Stan Lee will also be at this convention.
Also, for all you Dredd fans, a certain Paul Gulacy will be there. Shall I take issue 1 of my Dredd IDW to be signed by him :-\

Very enjoyable day, stories probably Monday wee hours, with photos!
Wins at the 'True Believer' awards for 2000AD as favourite colour comic, and Annie Parkhouse for best letterer. Commiserations to Bolt-01,* Richmond and the Zarjaz crew for missing out on the best B&W comic award, although I'm claiming it as a win for me because the award went to Jim Alexander's GoodCopBadCop, wot I lettered...
Cheers
Jim
*Who was in attendance with a young lady looking a lot like Karen Gillan who he was passing off as his daughter. Clearly a mix-up at the hospital there, Bolt!
Despite the heat, crowds, bad guts, concussion and disorganisation, I still had a great time! Here are the photo highlights.

Are you officially her stalker yet? :p
only if he can sneak onto g.o.t. as a kingsguard then he'll qualify.
It was way, way, over capacity - stifling heat with hardly any effective air-con.
Good to see everyone, but inside on Saturday was a pretty horrible experience in comparison to previous LFCC events.
It reminded me more of the MCM Expos, which made me swore never to go to one of those again.
It is impossible to explain to those who do not know what horror is, what is necessary once you have heard Tony Head singing "Behind Blue Eyes"...
We sat in the beer garden of The Atlas afterwards and drank our beers. No words were needed; united as we were in our knowledge of the depths of human despair.
Cheers

I think you'll find that it's the other way round ;)
Aces Weekly won best webcomic as well, whey.
Very fun weekend, some punters had a hell of a time of it though - queuing for hours in the baking sun to get turned away... yeeeeesh.
Also - can't believe it took me so long to get beaten up by Burdis on camera!
I follow the orders of John Wagner and have to beat up all perps, eventually!
We had a great time on Saturday. Think the awards were my personal highlight- mainly for having a good laugh with like minded folk and watching poor tony Head cope with the 'limited' script he'd got.
Congrats to Jim, he's certainly put the work in- and as I'm part of the Aces weekly collective I'm pleased to say I've finally got part of an award.
Despite the overcrowding and poor organisation I still had a good time. I also forgot about the tube closures and ended up getting a different train home but it was OK. Mrs Albion didn't mind picking me up from a different station a few miles away.
It was great catching up with friends, seeing the cosplayers and chatting to creators and of course going to the pub afterwards with crazyfoxmachine, Kerrin and the Judges.
One of the highlights for me was Bryan Talbot showing me the next Grandville book on his ipad. The whole book was on it! It was fascinating seeing the pages that aren't coloured yet. He was pointing out panels that were based on impressionist paintings, some of which I remembered from my study of art days at school. I also spotted a couple of characters from another famous comic. I didn't read it as such or look at every page as I will be buying it in November and didn't want any spoilers.
I also got an Inspector LeBrock sketch from him and ended up looking after his table twice during the day.
Kerrin was there? And I missed Shaolin as well! Sheesh

Kerrin was indeed there, I travelled up with him and his friend Steve on the train.
I went in before he did but caught up with him later. He abandoned the con early to spend most of the day in the pub.
It was a pleasure to chat to you again Bolt before you had to run off and move the car. I hope the rest of your day went well.
I'm a tough nut to crack!

Add a saxophone and I'd say so.
Excellent pics SM, particularly the first. Much as I love the 2012 uniform, when the comic one is done right, it looks the business.
Cheers,
cons aren't the best place to take photos really, especially during the summer. Winter cons are better if you want to have any chance of overpowering the ambient light with a flash to get more interesting light.
Plus carrying loads of gear (and wearing the uniform) in that heat isn't ideal...
Just love the photos! The 2012 uniform is let down by the front on silhouette sloped shoulders (as I've said before). The old style uniform has a more intimidating profile. Mind you the IP infringment heavy armoured cop thingy a couple of months ago looked the business. Z
Those photos actually made me lol out loud!
Wait till you see the short video we made and it's nothing to do with those funny pics. If you're on Facebook, you may have seen it already ;)

We have some very early ideas floating about but that's it at the moment. Nothing may come of it!
Are there no Judges attending the mcm comic con in Manchester this weekend?
No idea! I think many may be recovering due to the insanity of LFCC and that event may have been their main one this month. I'm doing something the next weekend, so I won't be going there. Even my wife won't let me spend a month of weekends away ;)
I won't be at MCM. The next one for me is probably Thoughtbubble. I expect there'll be some 2012 judges though!

I won't be at MCM. The next one for me is probably Thoughtbubble. I expect there'll be some 2012 judges though!
I trooped at the MCM comic con yesterday with the UKG,i didn't see this costume but I noticed it later when I was looking at some pictures of the day.....(http://i1300.photobucket.com/albums/ag93/Dr_Feeley_Good/Screenshot_2014-07-20-15-58-092_zpssqpsajph.jpg) (http://s1300.photobucket.com/user/Dr_Feeley_Good/media/Screenshot_2014-07-20-15-58-092_zpssqpsajph.jpg.html)
Cool - yeah you often get cons running into each other, and the summer cons are especially hard going for cosplayers who are covered heat to toe.
Judge Mortis is Drokk'in Awesome

I came past the MCM expo in Manchester on Saturday - on my way to work at 7am there were already about 40 people queuing (2 full hours before even the early-entry ticket-holders get in). On returning around 1.30, the queue was enormous, snaking around the car park in the pissing rain. I imagine there were a few cardboard ninja-swords and make up jobs that looked a bit wet and bedraggled after that!
A good selection of Judge photos here...
