Title: Judge Dredd: City Limits
Post by: Dash Decent on 23 March, 2014, 10:58:52 PM
I thought I'd start a thread for this now, seeing as they don't always get spotted in the Forthcoming Thrills thread.

Judge Dredd: City Limits (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Judge-Dredd-City-Limits/dp/1631400371/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395614898&sr=8-1&keywords=judge+dredd+city+limits)
Hardcover, 324 pages, IDW Publishing, 9th September 2014

Is that all we have on this? Not seen it mentioned on IDW site yet. Unless I missed it...

Reprints of 2000AD or theirs? By the title I imagine they don't Jane enough to fill that size... assuming it is themed reprints.

It features a church house and a gin house, a school house and an out house. They call it Judge Dredd, Judge Dredd, Judge Dredd: City Limits.

That's my guess too.  The Bolland, Ezquerra and Kennedy titles were also themed hardbacks.

From the title, you'd have to assume it's a collection of Cursed Earth stories; stuff like Father Earth, The Black Plague, The Hotdog Run, Destiny's Angel, Meka-City, Fungus, The Law According To Judge Dredd (although they're reprinting that elsewhere), The Raggedy Man, Twister, and stuff like Rad Blood and The Hunting Party if their budget stretches to colour repro.

I'd say it's a compendium of the first 12 issues (or first three TPB volumes) of IDW's ongoing Judge Dredd series. The list of contributors* gives away the content and the page count gives away the number of issues.

There wasn't a list of creators when everyone else commented...

Just explaining the now incredibly daft sounding guesses.

This is now listed almost everywhere as a paperback release and not a hardcover - which I think is kind of a shame as I wanted it in hardback. Also, does anyone know definitively when it is released, as IDW Publishing does not list it in their previews as far as October 2014?

No, sorry.

MC2 is August & JD Vol 5 is September... But no official word on this one yet.
