Sad news breaking on Facebook that superb lettered Ellie De Ville has passed away this morning. Another 2000 AD legend gone.
Thanks for everything Ellie.
Aww no.
My heart goes out to her family and friends.
Jeez that's a sobering bit of news. So sorry to hear of the passing of another legend - thanks for all your efforts Ellie towards the Galaxy's Greatest.
What terribly sad news!
Thanks for all the letters Ellie.
RIP.
Sad news. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.
Well that's rotten. Can't be many who've contribute to as many stories. Thoughts with her family at this time.
Sorry to hear this, condolences to her family.
Awful to hear this news.
RIP Ellie.
Ah no, what awful news. Hard to believe such a constant professional contributor to the comic has left us. Sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues:

Awful, awful news.

Sleep well, Ellie.
Terribly sad news.

That's a shame. Condolences to her family and friends.
Barney lists her first appearance as Prog 798 in 1992.
27 years lettering the galaxy's greatest comic.
Rest in peace, Ellie. KTT
Very sad news. Splundig vur thrigg Ellie, and thanks for everything
What awful news. Thank you for all you've done Ellie.
A massive amount of work over the years - I'm sure there's quite a few progs which were carried entirely by Ellie and Annie Parkhouse (wasn't there a Megazine interrogation with the two of them at some point?)
Barney (http://www.2000ad.org/?zone=droid&page=thrills&Comic=Specials&Field=Letters&choice=ellied) (if you don't use Barney often, don't neglect the links on the right-hand side of the page).
Just last month we got a Tales from the Black Museum lettered by Ellie - no doubt there's one or two other stories out there to be published.
Oh good Grud - just seen this. So shocked and saddened. Ellie was, and shall remain, a huge part of the identity of 2000 AD. Along with Tom and Annie she was responsible for the legibility of the printed page for many years.
Farewell Ellie, and thanks from this Squaxx.

What a wonderful, touching tribute.
Could not agree more. Very sorry to hear of Ellie's passing. R.I.P.
Really sorry to hear this. Ellie's work has been a mainstay for so many years and in so many stories. Her work on Dreams of Deadworld was fantastic, to give just one example. RIP Ellie.
Sad news to great the new year for me; Ellie De Ville was a true legend of the Prog and Meg. Rest in Peace.

I don't know about the Megazine but I interviewed them for the old 2000adreview fansite: https://web.archive.org/web/20060630180533/http://www.2000adreview.co.uk/features/interviews/2006/parkhousedeville/parkhousedeville.shtml

There was a megazine interrogation with both of them, can't remember which meg, but some time in the last five years I'd guess.
