Hi folks - I noticed HMV had Swamp Thing on DVD for about ?6.
Is it worthy, or is it a League of ExtraOrdinary Gentlemen?
It's a bit of a stinker. Leave it & wait for the release of GIANT-SIZE MAN-THING!
:-D
Odders, if you want to watch a TRUE B movie classic, then go for it.
The amount of Ham on show is the scariest thing in the film.
I loved it when I watched it, about 16 yrs ago.
Bolt-01Lost property
It's pretty dismal, but it's still better than the godawful LXG. Directed by Wes (NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET / SCREAM) Craven.
Also: Adrienne Barbeau out of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK!
J-Bo-1
Am I imagining this (possibly) but I recall watching the SWAMP THING movie and being a bit bored and then all of a sudden loads of topless birds appear in it. It was amost as if the producer/director thought "Twenty minutes to go, I think we might be losing the audience, quick, get your tits out!"
If anyone has any pictures to back up this, they could always post them on the Famke Jansen Underwear thread.
did this lead into the sucky tv series?
I do remember thinking "Why is this a 15?............OH I SEE" at about the moment the breasts burst free.
But it's only one pair, IIRC. Just bounced about in front of you for no reason at all.

They do belong to Adrienne Barbeau, though...
Truly enjoyable as a B-movie, and much better than the god-awful Heather Locklear sequel.
I'd buy it for six quid...
dick dorruck...or something? louis jourdan?
that the sucker...?
truly arse.....never saw the sequel...but thanks for reminding me of the tv series.
i had a novelisation of the sequel, and the writer tried to get all alan moore with it, references to the green, creating extra bodies and stuff that wasn't in the film so i'm told.
the book was so good i couldn't pick it up...oh sorry, couldn't put it down....no, i was right the first time.
