Title: Open water
Post by: Last of the V8's on 04 September, 2004, 12:43:00 AM
Just seen Open water.
I was expecting Blair Witch style, which is what was given, the less you see the more scary it is, but I'm afraid this movie left me cold. For me there was no suspense, bad acting and although the script tried to make you care about the two characters I just didn't.
A very disapointing movie.

For total fear and suspence look out for Haute Tension (High Tension) a French serial killer film to be relased here uncut this month. I belive it is going by the title Switchblade Killer.
This movie had me on the edge of the seat and the most scared I have ever been in all the years I have been watching Horror movies. This is Dario Argento on speed, gory as hell and ten times as scary. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

"Switchblade Romance"

The trailer for that left me thinking that it was a pointless, brutal film.  Which sums up Baise-Moi, by the way.

Some very interesting violent horror coming from France at the moment, besides Haute Tension, Baise Moi theres Irraversible.

Switchblade Romance, that's it. Bad title.

Who would win between Switchblade Romance and Candyman 2: Farewell to the Flesh?

I did Baise-Moi for my A2 media studies coursework. I could e-mail the essay (3000 words) to anyone who is intrested.

Heard good things about Haute Tension, still kicking myself that i missed it at the Bradford film festival.
