Help wanted gentle boarders.
I've got me a shiny new DVD player. I was thinking of shelling out for 24 Series 1 as I caught a couple of episodes on telly and was mightly impressed but never managed to see the whole thing.
Were Series 2 and 3 as good as the first? Is it worth getting all three?
The first series was brilliant. The second was pretty good, but not as good as the first, and I didn't even watch the third all the way through.
The first one was good, second series - not so much. Third one was up and down, though, but at least as good as the first series - apart from Kim's haircut. That poor woman had to get that hairpiece put on her head every day for about eight months.

buy it on ebay then sell it on ebay. I enjoyed the first and second series (havent seen the third) but theres absolutely no bloody way Id sit through them for a second 24 hours...
The second is better than the first although I've not reseen the first since it was on. It was the first series to work like that on that scale so maybe better after a second watching.
I personally found a lot of things in S2 just weren't mentioned when they should have bee though.
The third is good but lacks something imho.
If you want them on dvd get the whole S1,2 and 3 box set. It's a lot cheaper (?75.99 against ?100.97 individually)
2 is good, 3 is shite.
I thought 2 was so ridiculous that I haven't bothered with 3. Although 2 is *almost* redeemed by a genuinely exciting climax filmed in the Los Angeles Coliseum.

What Diggle said. 2 is great, starts strong, flounders a wee bit, improves; 3 is just bloody awful from the get-go.

1 good, 2 good, 3 has moments....rent them
1 is the best, undoubtedly.
2 Starts very strong, loses the pace about half way and doesn't pick up
3 is different, enthralling for a while, boring for a bit then great conclusion.
