I had this great one where the hero was called Neil, Niel or Nial.  I don't remember much about it except that the bad guys were black and fuzzy and had a solar type weapon that could decimate entire armadas in one go (but it had to be recharged).

The lead bad guy was white and fuzzy and now that I think about it, it might have been the hero who had the super-weapon.

It was a long time ago.

Not only was Neil a crap name for a hero- I know somebody who thought that was Neo's name in The Matrix was Neil as well.

"Everyone around him has picked what they deem to be a cool name- Morpheus, Trinity, Cypher.  Why would anyone pick 'Neil' as their super identity?"

My mate replied that he thought Neil *was* a cool name...

Maybe this belongs on the 'stupid things that people have said to you' thread?

NEIL what a great name.

sums up the image of a tall man, with the  body an athelete, strengh of an ox,good looks akin to a zuess, decent tan and cooking skills to make others weep.poetic and intelligent, with stamina to match dolphins with members of the oppiste sex.able to father strong sons is also another plus you know.

though it has been  clincally proven that people called NEIL are unable to spell.
