Title: Blue guys with guns
Post by: shane05 on 30 October, 2004, 05:32:41 PM
Don't ask why, but I really have a hankering for the Rogue and that world. I'm looking to get some back progs or GN. Cinnabar, Mercy heights and crucible. None of which my store can order or are on this site store. Can anyone tell me if there are GN of these stories or do I need to order back progs? I have War machine, what other original Rogue/Friday is mandatory reading?

It might be worth checking out which issues Tor Cyan stories run in. His story started in Mercy Heights.

Its Rogue related, but not yet collected as far as im aware.

'you have war machine?? where? when?'

I ordered it through Heavy Metal, it's a GN, not the originals or anything.

OK - It gets so bloody complicated...
War Machine is Fr1day and is possibly the only decent story from that incarnation and may be the only one reprinted as a GN, you may be able to get these in a "Best of" which should be relativly cheap.
None of the Mercy Heights, Tor Cyan arc has been reprinted (AFAIK) so its basically back progs for that.
The DC/Rebellion GN's which start next month(?), start the original Rogue from about the start.  The First one is called Future War.  For most of us Original Rogue is still the best, but be aware it is old style storytelling.....

Cinnabar came after the main Rogue Trooper stories and was a Nu-Earth Flashback.

It was also very very good.

Cinnabar has original Rogue in it?

DC/Rebellion GN are available in US, yes?

Shane: If you can get hold of some recent Megazine: 4.16:4.18 (I think, best to check via the index) Cinnabar is re-printed there.

The DC trades are going to be collecting all of Rogue through the Traitor General story.

'Megazine: 4.16:4.18'

I just got 223, but I don't understand your numbering, it looks like scripture or something:)

I like most of the Fr1day stories, maybe it`s because that`s where I came in

"'Megazine: 4.16:4.18' "

Recently (5-6 months ago, I think)the Meg underwent a change of numbering style. It used to be Vol.1, issue 1 etc. but abandoned that in Vol.4.

There's also an old best of 2kad which IIRC reprints Cinnabar. Isn't there?

Max: That pic isn't finished yet, but I'm not sure when (if ever) I'll work on it again. Gunnar needs a lot of work as he's not even in a straight line.

>'Gran to suck eggs'

Preach to the wise, teach one's grandmother to suck eggs, teach granny to suck eggs; preach to the converted.

ohhhh, the number of episodes threw me off, since I wasn't sure what was meant by that, I am now, and I completely missed the 'reprint' list. Thanks.

'Gran to suck eggs'

Huh?
