Might ask for that Angel Fire. Wadduya think. So much choice so little (10 days) time
I've bought myself a ton of stuff on ebay!
but I think the Necronauts book will be well worth picking up- will treat myself in january
and possibly Button Man as well
Comic stuff for Xmas, i will be recieving
The Complete Maus (finally get round to reading it) and the new Charley's War hardback.
I'm getting the new Modesty Blaise collection and the new Adventures in the Rifle Brigade tpb.
I can heartily reccomend Angelfire, however, plus it's worth supporting a new independant British publisher just getting off the ground.
Just recieved Atavar and Devlin Waugh as well as the new Meg and Prog 2005.
>BANG!!!!BANG
I concur - Angel Fire is good.
Some of those hard back classic dredd tales are so-oo seductive though...
Comic Guy: want an icon?
That IS his icon Max.
not exactltly for Xmas, but waiting for me at home are all three Thrud comics (I just don't trust the uni postal service)
oh shit, sorry
Don't know why I'm posting this...
Bloody brilliant Prof!
Heh - not that I'd like to see, say Rogue Trooper, get this treatment or anything :-)
Any takers?
haven't laughed so much in a while, it's fucking brilliant.
hmm.. perhaps not one to read to my son.
Thats hilarious. Great stuff there.
My fave is Jonah wanting to punch someone in the face.
Bolt-01
"And that Bear was my Father!"
That Bear was MY father!
You're pusing it, Byron! Don't pus me!
Don't 'pus' you?!
Brilliant!
' Don't 'pus' you?! '
Oh, I'm sorry, Byron, I just assumed that 'pus' was one of those words you keep making up - like pederasticism - and tried to help you out by using it myself. I shall know better for next time.
i dont no about you guys but i want more of those spider man storys
To get back on topic-I've picked up(well my I brought with my mum's money to save her having to trawl round comic and books shops) a few Fleetway Def. Edition that collect a load of Golden Age stories like Return of Rico (bit before?), Blood of Satanus (Bishop doesn't know what he's talking about), the "Dredd doubts" trilogy and other less famous stories. My glance through them suggest their pretty good although the colour's awful-McGrudder's black in some panels.
I've always got Essential X-Men Volume 5 and (fingers crossed) the Nikolai Dante, Sin Dex, Red Razors and Judgement Day Rebellion trades-
to explain my mum's asked me for an item for my brother to get me for Christmas. I've given her a list of four items hoping that she'll get me the other three (which she will, she's paranoid at the moment that I know all my presents).
Also get Angel Fire, its great. Ive got a review copy (meant to be advance but then the shit hit the fan and Ive been a nervous wreck for the past two months) and its ace. Review should follow soon. Also, I'd heartedly recommend Devlin Waugh: Swimming In Blood, the She-Hulk trade, any O-Men and finally William Hague's biography of William Pit the Younger*
Not exactly comics but a good read none the less
