Title: Battle Action Force collection price advice.
Post by: DavidXBrunt on 04 February, 2005, 08:27:53 PM
So over the last couple of years I've built up a little collection of Battle Action stuff. And I've also built up my credit card to the point where I'm going to have to flog stuff to help get rid of it. This collection is the first to go because I've pretty much read all I'm going to and having rid of it will mean I'm not tempted to buy more.

I've got about 100 issues from the 83 rebranding to tie in with Action Force through to about 86. They're mostly consecutive with the odd issue missed out. They're in okay to poor condition. Some are falling apart but have all the pages, even if they're loose. Others are much better. I think the condition is offset by the rarity of a collection of consecutive issues coming up for sale. Certainly I can't remember another one.

As well as that there's the majority of the annuals, half a dozen or so, A couple of sumer specials, some mini comics produced as free gifts, and some of the Action Force toys that featured in the stories after the rebranding.

So I have no idea how much to ask for them. I couldn't really consider letting them go for less than three figures or I'd be letting them go for less than I'd paid for them. Any help as to how much they're worhth as a collection would be appreciated.

I'll not be splitting the lots, and it'll probably be a bugger to post. I'm not selling this well am I?

If I were you I'd have a look at www.26pigs.com and other auction sites and judge from there how much you can charge for them.

There's bound to be someone out there who would just like to have the collection to read- regardless of collectability, resale value etc
