A little while ago (mid last year) here in Oz we got series One of Spaced. Was there a second series? Third? Does anybody know of when ABC Video will deign to release the DVDs down here?
It just suddenly struck me that I need more Spaced since Black Books finished here last night.
Spaced Season 2 is out on DVD in the UK... and that's the sum total of Spaced. I believe there may be a Season 3, but no confirmations I'm aware of as yet.

A third series of Spaced is in the works.
If they don't get things under way soon they plan to make a Christmas special and then make series 3 next year, apparantly.
And seeing as no one else has mentioned it you could try importing Spaced series 2 on DVD or VHS from the UK by using Amazon or something.

re:importing
yeah, that's always an option. Might start with series one, hey? ;)
The only problem is do UK DVD's support region 4? My player's not multi-region, just 4.
As someone toying with the idea of getting a DVD player (okay a PS2...) I want to know what all these regional differences are. Like huh? CD's play on any CD player - why do DVD's have to be bloody-minded? What's the "lo-down"?
It's very annoying. basically because TV standards like Secam, Pal and NTSC meant that video's couldn't be played in other countries, the companies grew to enjoy their little cartels. This was also useful for governments who didn't want their citizens picking up broadcasts from other countries.
But as new video's and tv's can usually now play tapes from other regions (at least Pal and NTSC can) they have utilised this new technology to artfifically maintain these economically valuable regions. They claim the usual economic stuff and nonsense about profits and different markets and stuff.
Anyway, it's probably worth buying a specialist dvd magazine to check on what machines are multi-region. It's useful to have one because sometimes you get dvd's released in the states that are better than the UK ones. Sometimes they aren't cut, sometimes they have more extras on or may not even be released here on dvd et (or even released here at the cinema!) etc.
To make matters worse, Warner have introduced some advanced regional coding because a lot of people were finding ways to overcome regional coding. There probably is a way of making PS2's multi region if they aren't already, there is usually some rogue who has found a way.
Obviously if you just buy your dvd's from woolies, no worries, you'll be fine.
As for CD's, well I reckon you might get that in the future. Who knows? It's funny how governemts and companies argue for free trade on one hand and proscribe it on the other. I wish I knew more about it.
in order for the movie companies to keep raking in the cash they decided to region encode all the discs to stop us saving money....swines!
region 1 is USA.
region 2 is UK.
region 3 is(i haven't got a bloody clue).
region 4 is for all the convicts we got rid of a couple of hundred years ago (only kidding!)
unless you have a multi region modification you cannot play these disc in other regions. you can buy player already modified so it isn't thqat much of an issue but you wont find them in curry's and dixons i'm afraid.
i have obviously left a lot of the jargon out to save you getting confused (i know it honestly....)
hope this helps a little. i can post some links to newsgroup and websites if that helps.
I believe there is some PS2 software that does this (at an extra 30 or 40 quid, of course). I thought that there were only 2 regions - so I've no idea if it works for region 4! Don't you just hate future technology. Blummin' stuff should be kept safely inside comics & not allowed to start littering our (real) world

I just came back to the boards after a week off work for drinking, turning 30 and more drinking.
In the course of my sabbatical I received a PS2.
Get one now, OBG! It's zarjaz!

Would do but I just had to pay my rent yesterday so I'll have to wait till next payday.
Plus I heard a rumour that the price is gonna fall again in the next few weeks - anyone else heard that or did I imagine it (wishful thinking)?
I haven't heard anything about the price falling, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Don't forget that X-Box can play DVDs too once you get the official add-on.
What games have you got mike d?
Stu (looking forward to the Dredd game)
Yup. X-Box is cool, but I've already got a load of Play Station games which'll still work on a PS2.
