Title: Wraprounds and Centerspreads...
Post by: philb on 13 May, 2002, 06:21:51 PM
Does anyone else long for the days of
wrap-round covers and centerspread
dredd splash pages? I know it may cause
problems for reprint but i really miss
dredd in the center pages of 2000ad...

I vote for more wrapround covers...with
the instructions on how to remove the staples!

I would definitely be up for centre spreads. but most especially wraparound covers!  I appreciate Advertsing is neccesary, but every now and then I'd like some fantabulous detailed scene (like Simon Gurr's Zarjazz cover).

Payday for artists too :)

Cheers

Paul

IIRC, quite a number of recent progs have featured ads for the Meg, or the next issue or Rebellion graphic novels. Use the space on the inside back page for this & you could probably get away with a wraparound cover every couple of weeks.

It would certainly be a pleasure to see a bit more imagination put into the covers - it seems like we get character portraits virtually every week.
