Do people want to ammend there poll answers so that the results don't become a farce? Having John Wagner at 80% and Wagner at 20% makes it look sloppy.
And Alan Grant at 30%, Grant at 10% and Grant Morrison at 30%.
Make the poll readable people!
And Moore, which one? (No sarcastic comments please) If people justt put both names beginning with capital letters, we'll be fine.
By the way if Arthur is listening, are you American?
Aaah! I said this in an earlier thread, not having made it this far yet in my catching up.
Tidying it up is a good idea.
Why isn't there more support for Steve Moore? :-)
MikeD
No. but my girlfreind is so I'm kind of an international kind of guy. Why?
You used the American spelling of favourite, I copied and pasted and I didn't notice till after people had started voting.
If you were American I might have let you off :)
No Mike - it was my bad. I started the new thread before I'd checked all the other ones.
But I thought it'd probably get more noticed in a new thread anyway....

Blame Microsoft!
Heres a "Corrected version" of the current state of the poll (with 12 voters). Of course it could all change later on!
John Wagner 25%
Alan Moore 20%
Alan Grant 11%
Pat Mills 11%
Gordon Rennie 9%
Grant Morrison 6%
Dan Abnett 4%
Pete Milligan 4%
Robbie Morrison 2%
Garth Ennis 2%
david bishop 2%
This is how I've worked it out (using Excel if you want to "Blame Microsoft!"):
John Wagner 11 92%
Alan Moore 9 75%
Alan Grant 5 42%
Pat Mills 5 42%
Gordon Rennie 4 33%
Grant Morrison 3 25%
Dan Abnett 2 17%
Pete Milligan 2 17%
David Bishop 1 8%
Garth Ennis 1 8%
Robbie Morrison 1 8%
Voters: 12
No criticisms here, OBG.
By the way, I'm still behind the times.
Why are you dead?
Finally, great to see Doug's new username. Let's hope there's no-one around calling themselves Magma...
Hey Doug, if you're such a fan, why haven't you voted for "Oh shuggles" in the expletive poll? No-one picked it at all.
Oh stomm!
MikeD
Depends on how you deal with each voter having 4 votes.
The %s are different because Arthur's version has each vote/total votes where as my version has each vote/total voters.
Didn't mean to step on your toes Arthur - great minds think (almost) alike?
It was suicide.
I was feeling lonely & depressed sitting in the chat room alone.
Then UKDane came along & taunted me by being there but not saying anything.
I just couldn't cope so I killed myself.
After spending several days trapped like a Dark Judge in a containment unit locked in that chat room my spirit form escaped & was once again free to purge the various goings on of the message board.
I'm still working on a convincing way to come back to life. Until then I'm just part of the undead.
No prob.
EEK, Any female Warlocks(?) turn up, I'm out of here quicker than one of Scojo's returns!
I would have, but 'funt' just tops the lot. But seeing as no one voted for it, I'll change it now!!
Grobbendoug the fickle
As it turns out, I'd missed that one, so I'm not fickle at all!!
Shuggles to the lot o ye!
vote/total voters is useful in this case.
However, the problem with recalculating it is that someone might have voted for John Wagner twice (once as Wagner and once as John Wagner), so in theory you could end up with more than 100% of voters voting for him.
vote/total votes can be problematic...since it's affected by how many people use all four of their votes.
Wake
Yeah but if people are going to vote for the same person twice then they're out to screw the poll anyway - however it's calculated.
And who are the Gurr Brothers?
What did they write?
The Gurr Brothers wrote a pitchfest winning futureshock.
Dead OBG,
I said I was sorry!
Current corrected results (roughly calculated):
Name/votes/percentage
John Wagner 26 24%
Alan Moore 18 17%
Alan Grant 15 14%
Pat Mills 14 13%
Grant Morrison 9 8%
Gordon Rennie 7 6%
Dan Abnett 4 4%
Pete Milligan 3 3%
Garth Ennis 3 3%
Robbie Morrison 3 3%
Mark Millar 2 2%
Simon Spurrier 1 1%
The Gurr Brothers 1 1%
david bishop 1 1%
John Smith 1 1%
Total votes: 108
I decided to have edit the misspelt and abbreviated entries...since I didn't have to deal with any ambiguous answers.
