Title: Return to the scene of the crime
Post by: nemesis on 16 May, 2002, 06:34:39 AM
I havnt checked back here for about six months and my how the tables have turned with all this controversy. I remember that Scojo (how ever old he is) seemed to have time to be permenantly surveying this guestbook and he was the lord of the threads. Well thats not quite so true now, ever since the backlash of criticism which Scojo took so childishly. Critisism is a really good thing. Without the views and comments of others on our work we are left with the product of our egos and its very easy to be self indulgent. Scojo may love reading his screenplay and he may be very attached to it. The questions he must ask himself are why am i writing this? and who will be reading this? If the answer is "its for myself for my own enjoyment" then i wouldnt worry too much about what anyone else thinks. However if the answer is "Im writing this with the goal of it being produced and enjoyed by others" then ideas, opinions and criticisms of others are highly valuable. You can learn so much from others comments if you care to listen. Its kind of like the teachers red pen, and if you cant remember that, then maybe its time to get away from the screen and go back to English classes!

Please don't swear at me too much, Doug, because I really like your username.

However, the dirty chuckling potential here is too good to waste.

If he's your master, what are you? Do you have a gimp suit?

Oh dear, I'm in trouble now for being over-"familiar."

Phew! I though I might have an Aberdonian after me.

That was close, as they said at the end of the Young Ones.

Aye, you wouldn't want that!

Depressing really that Aberdeen seems to be nuked off the map in future times. Mind you, everyone lives in Cal-Hab, we must have some sort of Cursed North East or something. Right, I'm off, these visions of huge mutant sheep are getting scary!
