On the subject of Dredd casting from the previous post who do you all think should round out the cast baring in mind the low budget? It's a lot harder than just dream casting when your looking for good but cheap actors. And as I've been out voted on this one Dredd will have to be an Aryan storm trooper after all.
I not sure he's Aryan - I never pictured Dredd as a blond... But of course with his helmet & his hate of moustaches we'll never know for sure.....
He's a man who spends all his time swathed in black leather, always rejects the advances of women but hates moustaches. Now theres a guy in denial of his village people tendencies. He could maybe replace the motorcycle cop with Little Plum from the Beano as the Indian Chief. Any other casting suggestions for a comcs village people?
Well, I guess on many levels Dredd is easy to mock, even easier to hate, but the good part is, he wouldn't give a stuff.
I doubt dredd's an Aryan superman, I always imagine him with black hair and genes from all over the place. Not black, but then again, not someone who can trace his lineage back to Odin.
It's like saying Giant was a whitey hating, black power, voodoo gangster priest. It would make a cool comic strip, but could just make Giant a victim of lazy labelling.
Howver on the theme, I would have thought Dan Dare might make the line-up (if Grant Morrison has stopped sexually abusing him) in his snazzy uniform.
Anyone remember if hes a direct clonde of Fargo or if he had DNA code from alll the best judges? Can't remember which it was?
i remember as a child thinking that joe was a negro from mike mcmahon's depiction of a helmetless cadet dredd in the return of rico.

Would BOB THE BUILDER fit in?
Aaaah, isn't it a shame we no longer have those brilliant little nerve centre drawings, where two characters were combined.
I reckon Judge Bob The Builder would have won me ?3!
Great idea Tips!

"Can he Judge you, yes he can"
would have been the by-line
Spludigg vur thrigg
Then, if I had been writing it, he would've been eaten by a Klegg, the little turd.
Better still, some Cursed Earth disease, like the Black Scab!
Oh dear, I'm back to bloodthirsty vengeful thoughts again, like with the Crown Court.
You have a bad effect on me, Paul.

Dear Message Board,
When was the last readers art printed in the input/nerve centre?
Is Tharg against putting them in these days or is it just that he hasn't been sent any recently?
Lots of love,
Oddboy.
P.S. Good luck in your exams! (If you're taking any)
I'm pretty sure he'd publish your cartoon Village People. Judge Dredd, Little Plum and Bob the BUilder so far. Who else have we got?
Could be wrong but I think we still need a sailor : Jonah from the Beano. Not sure about the leather bloke though, Marshall Law?

I've always thought that Dredd has black hair.

Mike McMahon thought Carlos' character sketches and first episode depicted Dredd as Black.
