Title: Mmmmm, Cassandra...
Post by: Mudcrab on 17 May, 2002, 03:57:36 PM
Wake, or anyone else really. Anyone else got an Anderson PSI poster prog? I just won one on ebay, but it's not listed on this site with the poster progs. It's an A2 poster and does have a story on it, like the others. Anyone heard of it, got it or anything?

i've got it.  it appears to have come with one of the volume 2 issues of the megazine but i'm not sure which exactly.  it came tucked inside a bunch of megazines i bought recently.  i can try and find out if your really desperate to know but it is in the no25-40 range of volume 2 off the top of my head.  hope this helps.

Is that the one with the story linking Childhood's End to Postcards From The Edge on the back of a HUGE Cassy picture that adorned my wall for a while?  If so it's safely folded up & tucked inside the Meg it came in now so I would say I'd dig it out over the weekend and tell you which one it was but I'm going back to my parents this weekend so I won't be here to do it.

Remind me on Monday if no one else has come up with the answer.

Yeah, that'll be the one. I did have the feeling it might have come with a Megazine as it wasn't a poster prog as such. If that's the case I don't think I've got it already, although I've gathered a lot of Megs which I haven't read yet (I can check tonight though). Cheers, both of you. Sounds like it was a good buy anyway if it's a linking story line.

Ah, I'll avoid that then, I've not read Childhoods End yet, or any of the Megazine Anderson really. I've still to delve into my unread megazines. WOOHOO, loads of thrillpower sitting unleashed at home.

It's brilliant isn't it.  My room is now taken up by three huge boxes of vintage Tooths since buying someone's entire collection (minus first hundred progs)!
My fianc? was only a little concerned.
I reckon we can just stick a table cloth over the boxes & turn 'em into the most Thrill Powered coffee tables ever!

It is. I remember when I gathered all the progs from when I stopped (473) up to when I started again (1000) and just spent the whole summer reading them, being a skint student it was great!!

Left me a bit dazed though I can tell you. Tharg's warnings are not to be taken lightly! Even now I get nasty shakes if my prog's late in the post :o)

I've just bought 450 megs/progs/specials to plough through. If I'm not careful I'll blow my brains with that much thrill-power

Sorry? What were you all saying?

I wasn't listening.

I was still thinking about Cassandra.

It was a free gift given away with Megazine Vol. 2 No. 37.

Ah so it was you that won that, I was the other bidder but due to other Dredd/2000ad Ebay commitments I gave up. But now someones mentioned it I might actually have it somewhere, but then again I do remember having it on my wall somewhere at somepoint.
