Having just watched The Descent I thought it was very good in a no brain horror kind of way. However, really didn't like the end. Don't want to spoil it by saying what happens but I felt it was a bit of a let down as what had gone before was really well done.
Anybody else any opinions?

Yep, I saw it yesterday and thought exactly the same. Leaves you kind of deciding what actually happened but not in a very convincing way. Still, the film itself was worth seeing.

Same here! Enjoyable- lots of scary bits. The ending was a bit dodgy alright
It would have been way way better if they just trimmed off about 2 minutes.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. Lots of jumps, and it gets better after the faux girls weekend stuff is gone and the horror begins. Not convinced by the end, but hey, it's a horror movie and it's not a terrible ending, just not the one I wanted.
They say horror movies inspire people to do evil things, and I could quite happily have murdered the woman behind me who kept screaming throughout the movie. My ear still hurts, the silly bitch.

i hav'nt seen The Descent,but i have got most horrors done in last 20 is it as good as say dawn of dead (orig)?
In a word, no.
It's good in a From Dusk 'Til Dawn kind of way. First half of film is one thing, second half is another.
I'd compare to something like Wrong Turn. Very much a b-movie but a good b-movie.
