Well, my last official function on my undiplomatic visit to the south of England was to see Deano's After Dark, a late night chat show with Dean Learner and guests. It was a trial work out for the new TV series, which is being filmed for Channel Four later this autumn. And if you liked Darkplace, I suspect you'll like this, in a different way.
To be honest, just to be in the same room as Dean Learner, oralising, was a tremendous experience.
Anyone else find it hard to get it on with a woman unless she's covered in worms and silt?
Pvs, this is an intriguing post. Can you oralise some more on this topic? or even linkise?
yours not covered in worms and silt
Last year I was raving about Garth Marenghi's Darkplace, an amazingly dumb and funny horror series spoof. This is two of the same guys (possibly more) doing a chat show.
Dean Learner is in, and I assume Garth Marenghi MUST be a guest (surely!), but we saw an episode where Matthew Holness played a musician. The producer was there to judge the audience reaction and see what worked and what didn't.
Anyone from Scotchland?
And any news on the Darkplace DVD? (My video of which as misteriously re-appeared.. must watch again soon)
And my brother told me a while back there was a second series in the near future. Any news on that?
Sadly, no news on anything really. You know as much as I do. But, I would have thought releasing the Darkplace DVD to coincide with the new series would be fairly likely I reckon.
No Scotch people, but I only saw one episodes worth! They didn't say there were no scotch people...
This sounds great.
Is the chatshow set in the 80s like Darkplace?

thanks lrc. I knew about Garth from Pvs' efforts on this site before, but didn't know Dean Learner was the same guy
Well they are not the same guy... only closely connected
Garth Marenghis is a horror writer par excellent.
Dean Learner is his manager/business partner. Together they made (and starred) in Darkplace for Channel 4. Channel 4 claimed they never asked for it in the first place, and the guys walked out, only to return last year.
Dean Learner also has a nightclub, Deano's After Dark, where this new chat show is supposedly set. Dean Learner's other business ventures include skin flicks.
