We went to Foundrys Nottihgham base yesterday and picked up some of the figures.
Talking to the guy there, he reckons the futures rosey for the 2000 AD line with street Judges out soon, Judge Giant, Apocolypse Judges, a resin Lawmaster and a set of ABC Warriors. Bizzarly, the chummie reckons the next release of Judges will be more like 54mm figures as "all Judges are over 7 feet tall".
I'm glad they are doing the lawmasters in resin, they would have been unnafordable. Sounds cool though, real cool.
Dredd is quite a big figure but I hope they stay clear of 54mm! Wot use is that?
Cheers for the info!

Yeh that's really good news ! The ABC Warriors in 28mm would be super-fantastico !
If they make the figures in janky 54mm I'll have to shoot them mind.
Make them talk with shooting action and sell them in argos.....CACHING!!!!!
Well The Dredd is about 30ish, so unless they are trying to recreate the Stallone film, lets hope non eof the other judges are too tall!
Mongrol should be at least a 54 mill figure, with Hammerstein, Blackblood, Pineapples and Deadlock about 35+ish. I hope we don't get a tiny mongrol....
Any idea which lineup of ABCs? The new lineup would include Steelhorn presumably, but how do you do Mekquake? He'd be at least 100 mill long... And then theres Happy shrapnel, the Mess,
Hitaki, Terri and a few others over the years...
I expect what we'll get is just the more human sized four.
I'd like to see a Nemesis/Purity/Torq pack
A Sam Slade/Hoagy/Kidd pack
A Sternhammer/Gronk/McNulty/Red pack
A Mcmahon Slaine/Ukko/Slough Feg pack
A Fabry Slaine/Naimh/Elfric
Anyone for any more?
And who de hell is Apocalypse Judges?
Holocaust Squad?
Sovs?
???
I sent them a rather sad and desperate e-mail asking them for a whole load of rogue trooper figures. Perfect 2000AD wargame or what? Norts, Southers, Pillboxes, BLAND AND BRASS!, Souther G.I.'s, Nort G.I.'s ah, that would be great stuff....
I'm not sure about the Apocalypse squad, but the guys for the roleplaying game have made a whole load of extra stuff up for the books I think (could be wrong...)
It does look like they've made up a lot of stuff for the RPG, which seems a little dodgy IMO The stuff about secret covert killer judges I've seen stinks of the worst non Wagner stuff that crawled ut from under the stone that was the 90s
Anyone ever see the Doctor Who RPG that took a similar approach? It seems so unnecessary given the huge amount of material available.
And even if you do create something new, they aren't likely to be first on anyones shopping list for miniatures I would have thought...
Yeah, I agree about the special secret covert killer judges. Surely they'd just send someone reliable round, but, well, everyone has their own theories I guess.
To be honest I'm not too fussed, as you say there has been some apalling non wagnerian Dredd things introduced in the comics.
Just on a persoanl level, I would have liked the books to have sources mentioned and if things are an invention or an ellaboration for the rollplaying game. I appreciate that thats not normal, and I'll go now.
Cheers

Saw the RPG book at Expo today. Loads of text but some nice full colour tech illustrations.
"special secret covert killer judges"
According to the JDSS, they were left out as Rebellion deemed them too extreme.

has anyone found a cheaper way to purchase these figures as the postage is a pee take?
The only wat to do it is to go to a Wargames SHow were Foundry are selling. Where abouts do you live. I'll try and find an up to date list of shows.
Cheers

Theres only the one RPG shop in Brum AFAIK, the one next to the sterling Readers World on digbeth - I'll be going in tomorrow to see if they'll be stocking the Mongoose stuff, so I'll post here and let you know, Moly -Wonder if they might do the miniatures....
watcher cheers mate should of thought of that one i was only in readers world 3 weeks ago.
Watcher, also try Waylands Forge at Five Ways, they have a website on the net, I susoect finding retailers for the Dredd figures will be hard. Wake said he was going to buy a few in too.
Here is a site for shows, the good ol Midland Militaire is on soon, June 9th I think. You could always e-mail Foundry to check that the guy will be there and will have some with him.
