Whilst Judge King has had an unjudicial liaison by the time we meet him in Breathing Space, and ends up dead, he does also mention living through the Apocalypse War, Necropolis and Judgement Day.
I thought it might be interesting to see some tales from his past during those tumultuous times.
I don't. It was a rubbish incoherent story which I want to forget. He should be allowed to rot with Bison and Zippy Couriers.
Seconded.
I wouldn't mind seeing some other stories from these epics though. Wasn't there a 'Tales of Necropolis' run in the meg?
However - King himself is clearly crap. Maybe we should see someone a little more exciting living through this events.
How about Judge Ocks from The Apocalypse War and Fire & Ice?
Always wondered what he was doing inbetween times.
I guess I'd just like to see some flashback episodes to those momentous times, and it was Judge King's comment that made me think of it.
Ocks lost an arm during 'Shanty Town', iirc. I, for one, would like to see its continuing adventures.
"...it crawled into the Cursed Earth...to dispense Justice to the lawless..."
Hey, maybe Ocks was attacked by his own arm during Judgement Day.
hey i like King ! moody, broody, full of self doubt, a sucker for lurve, & powerless to resist Psi-manipulation.....
actually thats a bit rubbish for a judge, but hell , a good read... but then i'm more interested in people & emotions that the techy spec of pretend guns & imagined astrophysics.
King is okay. The story he's in is too ambitious (or less politely, incherent) but that's no reason why some good King flashback stories couldn't happen
