Title: Cass, I love you...
Post by: Trout on 24 May, 2002, 10:27:09 PM
Grobbendoug's comment in the Frazer thread below set me thinking:

Who does the best Cass Anderson?

Bolland created her (visually), but his interpretation was never my favourite.

Lots of artists have tackled her (there's a mental image), with mixed success.

My favourites would have to be Barry Kitson on that return of Orlok stuff, and - top prize here - Brett Ewins for that skin-tight look.

Sorry if this sounds pervy. It's Friday and I'm tired.

Other opinions?

Arthur Ransome. He draws Cass exactly like she is.

Yeah, forgot him. His stuff is great.

By the way, welcome back from the dead to the Oddster!

Why thankyou!

Kev Walker's work on Childhoods End was brilliant, but some how Cass herself never quite seemed herself...   Ransom is THE artist for her now as David X says.  Brett's version though.......mmmmmm!

Kev's Anderson face looks a little... wonky (yes with an O) though, I think there are others that are better.
