Listen , Ive got nothing against the current anderson writer. I just want a change, that's all.We see different artists drawing Dredd all the time so how about we share some love to Anderson. Lets see what she would look like if Simon Coleby drew her.
Not the greatest-worded first post you could've made... ;)
I think the Anderson artist is indeed due to change anyway, at the end of the current story arc.
thanks, rub it in.Why not poke me in the eye with this drinks umbrella
I meant artist not writer.
Feel a bit foolish now...
You gotta be kidding, right!!!
Dave Taylor is drawing Anderson next.
Cheers,
Wake

Cool, thanks man.
Wuhuheill .Ive no complaints about that there option.
Pah- blatant sexism and juvenile fanboy wank fodder
..
I mean hubba-hubba!
Cor!
Kerrr - ikey!
Why? is'nt arthur ransons work good enough anymore?.....oh the shame of it! IMO ranson should stay he's done more for anderson than any other artist in the rolladex at thrill-power tower!!!
:D
But it just doesn't look good anymore. In smaller doses it's fine but really I couldn't care less about the last couple of Anderson stories and part of that is to do with the artwork.
Maybe I'm just used to being spoiled by the artwork of artists like Book Cook and Colin McNeil?
With a gap witha story being done by someone else it might be fine but I guess as the storylines seem to have been blurred together that wasn't possible. Mind you it just means I can ignore all the current storylines which might be just as well.
I think the color might be part of the problem, it kinda makes the strip seem...off.
Maybe they should leave ranson's art B&W for a change.
I love ransons art, and also dave taylor & simon coleby,
for me the character of anderson is a bit tired, shes kind of done it all & got dull in her middle age... feck, that sounds familiar. She just lacks kick-assness, she lacks spookie wierdness, she lacks inner demons, shes just a sort of resigned to lifes crappness in a slightly sad humourous comments & plodding alongness. i would have expected , someone to be as psychicly powerful as her, & to have faught the battles she has, to have some serious OOOmpf, or personality issues, or benign cosmic holyiness, but she, well i can picture her doing the housework, & watching tele with a nice glass of wine.
i need my older women characters to be BLACKKKKKKKK & seriously edgy....for some strange reason.
I wonder what Bou's version of Anderson would look like...?
Perhaps if we ask her very, very nicely she'd sketche it for us? ;)
I know I'm being cheeky - But any excuse to see Bou's art!
Oh, and I love Ranson's work! But then, I don't see the problem with Anderson in the first place, so maybe I'm not qualified to comment...
damn you byron, i told you not to dare me !
okay, baring in mind that i love all the above artists & wouldnt be trying to out do them cos i'd get my ass whupped..
and that i'm cooking tea, and off to train station & scanner takes 3 years. i'll gie ye an anderson sketch in a bit....
A scanner is an unorthodox mode of transportation,I grant you, but with the lateness of trains nowadays, you'll get to the station with six months to spare*
*this approximation is based just on my my experience of train journeys in the estuary part of England (i.e the Home counties, but people outside those aforementioned shires have a tendency to go all growly calling Herts,Beds,Bucks etc that)
I wouldn't know if train journeys are better or worse in the Highlands-you might have to contend with giant Yetis, evil wild cats and mighty Loch monsters on the tracks- but we've got leaves- evil malisious train stopping leaves
Yay! You know you want to really, Bou...
Course, I hope this doesn't get in the way of the Wild West Wendy full-length one-shot that will be coming in the near future...
You just can't help yourself, can you Byron? :p
But then, if I had news that exciting I doubt I could keep it to myself either! I'll certaintly be looking forward to that.
bah, ive missed 5 minutes of rivercity damn you!
my art stuffs all in the car, including eraser & decent pencils, & its stormy out there, & its elanas birthday party, so thats yur whack.
'sides theres a vicious cowgirl needs my attention.
another one for ebay, ha ha.
That is fantastic, Bou! :D
I'd like to say more, but all I can say to that is wow...
Your style is really developing well.
That is a quicky I take it?
Bou - as ever, that is utterly fantastic. If you sell more of your work on ebay before offering it to me first then I'm going to have to become a professional art thief in order to get my hands on some.
Seriously though, thanks for doing that, as it's really helped to make me feel a bit better today when I'm feeling incredibly sick and low. As always, it's a pleasure to see any of your work.
"You just can't help yourself, can you Byron?"
Well, if you've got a book to sell, you're not going to get anywhere by keeping quiet about it. Frankly it's a bloody hard, and entirely thankless task, and you do it for the love rather than the non-existant money, but when you've got work as strong as that being produced by Rac and Bou - a book that I really believe in - it would be bloody criminal not to make the effort and give it the publicity that it deserves.
Having read Wild West Wendy (purchasing a copy from your good self!), I do heartily agree! I was just winding you up good sir. :)
I'm looking forward to that, having missed the adventures of Stabfoot...
Ohhhh yes spat-boy ! you may act the nice guy in public, but one day they will know the shocking truth about work-stations youve shackled us too, the threats of stab foot....
stop STOP waving your foot at me you overgrown bloody elk ! OUch...! f*cker... ok okay i'm drawing.
for the love of it ? you sadistic bastard, but ooooooh no you just keep playing the benign nurturing role, one day they'll find out...
Yeah! You tell him Bou!
There's moose shit all over this cell...
Top Pic Bou.
Really atmospheric.
Bolt-01
Excellent pic, Bou. Now I have to steal that AND your convention sketch books when I rob you.
(Of course, my art is far more detailed and I fly fighter jets, dudes.)
(And before anyone takes that boast seriously, it's a message board in-joke. Move along - nothing to see here.)
arthur ranson draws all that weird shit wonderfully, i think.
