Title: Termight Replicas - Dredd world badges
Post by: Wake on 19 November, 2005, 05:25:24 AM
I've just added a range of resin badges to the Termight Replicas site, priced between ?2 and ?6 plus ?2 flat rate postage in the UK.

A Dredd badge and a set of bio-chips should be added soon.

Cheers,

Wake

I've just checked and the Brit-Cit badge can be changed to Armour, Coran or Armitage for the same price (?5 plus postage) or customised to a name of your choice (within reason) for an extra ?2.

Oh, they're really great. Nice items, and at a very decent price. Come pay day I'll be getting the Devlin Waugh badge and a Brit Cit Brunt Badge.

It may be a crazy Idea, but how about a Dredd badge?

There are two in the pipeline - one from Charlie Towers to go with the Dredd world set and possibly a second larger one from someone else.

I have a set of Bio Chips and very nice they are too.
The Daark Judges badges I'd certainly buy.

Charlie is working on the Dark Judges badges at the moment but he can't find a decent reference pic for Judge Fear's. Can anyone help?

Are there going to be custom name MC1 Judge badges, too?

Yup.  Gaze into the badge of Fear...

Very nice- i think this is the same guy i got my Dredd badge off- which is really nicely done

I'd like the Irish Judge badge but I wonder would "mcmonagle" fit on there?

For most of the badges the name is carved into the master so personalised badges would be much more expensive.

A size guide on the site would be helpful.

I've just added some sizes to the page. Most of teh badges are just under 10 cm tall though the Brit Cit badge is a bit shorter (and wider) at 78mm.

A custom badge using relief lettering (i.e. any of the badges apart from the Brit-Cit one) would cost an extra ?40 plus postage for the first badge but further badges of the same name would cost the same as the standard ones.

Is the height for the Brit-Cit badge right? Says 78mm, but the others are all about 98mm ...

Yes it is. It's nearly as wide as the Emerald Isle one but quite a bit shorter. The Calhab one is tall because of its shape but is a smaller surface area than the Brit-Cit one.

A good reference pic for all four dark judges is the classic "The crime is life...the sentence is death" postergraph centrespread from prog 225 (?*) and reprinted in Extreme Edition #1.  (It's by Bolland and whoever owns the original art is the luckiest Squaxx in the box.)

* I think it's prog 225, but if not it's part of Judge Death Lives (progs 224-228).

(Anyone out there with a scanner?)

Just alittle off topic here, but found this-

http://www.scenecraft.com/content/gallery/gallery-theatrical01.html

-as I was browsing through the 'Termite Replica' website and why not just use the real thing.

I'm referring to the Fake Drinks of course.

I guess it keeps actors sober.

If I produced a high quality metal Dredd badge - probably 9cm tall - would anyone like it to be based on artwork other than this artwork, e.g. something a bit more recent?

Might it not be worth someone scanning in several of the morw-widely-used variations so we can decide?

I quite like the last one, though the first one you posted is more 'iconic' ...
