Title: bespoke tshirts
Post by: Floyd-the-k on 13 January, 2006, 05:55:25 PM
inspired by Uncle Umpty's tshirt thread

There are some out of the way covers I'd love to have as tshirts. Isn't it possible to arrange a "choose your cover" tshirt service here?

If not, is it legal if I make a tshirt just for myself from one of the covers on this site?

Oooooh... So many options!

I'll change my mind 10 times in the next 10 minutes, but, for now, I'll vote for the cover of my first-ever prog...

An interesting question this.

It wouldn't be difficult for Rebellion to arrange something like this with a printer of their choice, and the website could link to the shop in question.

I would imagine it is a matter of demand. If lots of folks are after T-shirts of covers, the they should be reasonably affordable.

Of course it occurs to me that the covers on the site are not of the right dpi for printing, so they would all have to be re-scanned and tweaked. Bit of a job that I would say.

I wouldn't have thought it would be viable to sell licensed t-shirts in quantities of less than 10, but if you wanted to make a t-shirt for yourself, as opposed to for resale, then that should be okay.

I'd quite like to find someone who can produce bottle green long sleeved t-shirts with two lighter stripes on the body plus one down each sleeve.

Cheers,

Wake

A friend of mine has software where you can turn any image into an iron on transfer.

Good work. Only one possible snag: It doesn't specify on that site whether the contacts enable you to SEE INTO A MAN'S VERY SOUL!

WHSmiths sell A4 iron on t-shirt transfer paper, for dark or white shirts. The white is a print your image reversed and iron it face down, but the dark is a cut out your image, peel off the backing paper and lay down and iron to fix.

I don't know how good it is though. The only tiime I used it I didn't fix my image propelry so the print was ruined after the first wash. Looks kinda retro now though so it's ok.

I think I can sell a licensed white/black ringer t-shirt with the 13 design above for ?20 each plus postage so long as a reasonable number of people want one. Email me if you are interested.

Cheers,

Umpty Jr is the proud owner of the nemesis shirt, and I'm currenly sporting the Stronty Dog ink blot shirt.

They're very cool. Get them while you can, limited numbers only I think.

My mate made two sleep suits for my baby son when he was born.

One has a Cliff Robinson Dredd and the other has a Dave Gibbons Rogue Pooper :-D

Both are Ace!
