Title: Angelfire
Post by: petesbeats on 01 March, 2006, 10:55:44 PM
Just reread this and its an absolute gem.  If you havent got it get it.  The arts sublime and the story is a corker with a brilliant twist.

yeah it certainly is, i love the art.

i was of course interested cos Torridon is just up the road from me, but the torridon in the book is just a generic type place, the history doesnt fit either, wrong religion... the real torridon is one of the countrys most stunning places; long deep loch dominated by Huge sheer mountain. I had a job recently at the Torridon country house Hotel, a creaky large building with turret & spire, it was a howling gale... and yes i thought of angelfire.

I was looking forward to this, but didn't get a copy of it. I was going to get one recently then read a rather negative comment here that put me off...
