That's enough to satisfy my comics reading. Plus I haven't got that much room in the flat to collect loads of comics or that much time to read them.
My pals usually flag up any amazing stories that I miss from the US.
UKD, have you joined a market research company? All these `what x are you ying` threads!
Anyway, I`m buying:
- Judge Dredd Megazine
- 2000 AD
- Extreme Edition
- The Phantom
- Batman
- and feeling very undercomic@ed by comparison to the rest of you.
Is Jeremiah Harm b/w or colour? Anyone got any preview scans from say the first 5 pages? Are there only two issues out so far?

Oh - and the new science fiction comic anthology that Rebellion are going to bring out, funded by their profits from the Rogue Trooper computer game.
(Are these normal cookies?)
Oop! Nearly forgot:
Action Stations!
(Although their release schedule seems a bit haphazard - I've been waiting for The Burning Of Hospital Camp 9 for ages now - and everytime I ask my newsagent when I can next expect to see Stabfoot and Destroy All Japs! he asks me to leave.)

That's enough to satisfy my comics reading.
2k, The Meg, and E.E. Natch.
J.S.A., J.S.A. Classified, and J.L.A. Classified. I used to buy a lot more D.C.U. titles but with one thing and another have dropped them all, but still buy the relevant collections. Partially it was because I was buying the collections anyway, partially disatisfaction.
Rex Mundi - did issue 17 ship?
Exterminators and Loveless are still on trial.
Jonah Hex - recommended highly.
Walking Dead.
Marvel Zombies and Infinite Crisis - both nearing completion.
Sgt Rock - This shouldn't work but does. I can't explain why but it works.
Book of lost souls.

Extreme Edition now and again.
The new IDG Transformers comic (which is surprisingly good).
Lots of trades, to play "catch up" (Lucifer, Usagi Yojimbo, etc.)
Action Stations!
(Although their release schedule seems a bit haphazard - I've been waiting for The Burning Of Hospital Camp 9 for ages now - and everytime I ask my newsagent when I can next expect to see Stabfoot and Destroy All Japs! he asks me to leave.)
No more Destroy all Japs!, but coming soon: The Last Temptation of Wendy.
:)
Nice pimpery there.
I'd do more Destroy! if the chance came along, I had a blast doing that.
Bolt-01
Oh yeah,
I forgot Thunderbolt Jaxxon, and Batman/Superman (Another one with a dodgy release schedule).
When they come out, I'll probably pick up Checkmate Shadowpact and the new Blue Beetle Limited series (I know it's supposed to be an ongoing but Keith Giffen is involved so I give it 12 issues max.)
Oh Jonah Hex and seven soldiers too, is it just me or is there a high percentage of DC titles mentioned on this thread?
On a related note, Re: the latest Extreme Edition
Is there anyone else out there who already owns the Dredd/Friday story, Pray for war, First of the few (IMO the best ever stand alone Rogue story), that one with the souther supply train and numerous reprints of Cinnabar, who has bought Ex Ed 15 and not missed the couple of pints they could have had instead?
(I'm going to end up buying it anyway, but I'm trying to justify the expense!)
I;m confident that Blue Beetle will survive longer than Keith's recent record because it's Keith and it's the Blue Beetle and I'm an optimist.
I too hope the beetle has a long and happy run, I'm a major Giffen fan since I first read Ambush bug, but unfortunately I'm also a realist, it's probably just going to be you and me buying the thing UKD.
Oh, I think there may be a considerable nostalgic market buying this book, what with the brilliant Giffen/DeMatteis/Maguire sequals of recent years (and a certain guest star in issue 1) coupled with people who may not have liked the beetle in the past reading it thanks to the I.C. launch pad.
Plus everything I've heard about this series makes me think it could be a long runner. Knackered within six months of Giffen moving on but still...
Actually I wish series would start with mini series before going monthly, or characters to appear elsewhere before the big issue 1. It worked for Robin and Catwoman and Guy Gardner and Steel both had high sales until editorial enforced changes knackered them.
i am currently buying in Graphic novel/trade formats.
The Sandman(breath takingly good)
100 bullets(some of the finest writing on the market today)
tom strong(purchased yet to read but its ALAN so i am sure it will be a treat.
and i just bought a new copy of the WATCHMEN.as i have not read it again for 18 years.so i felt it was time to enjoy with more mature eyes.
comic book wise. dandy, beano and X-Men for my son.
TALES of COLOSSUS - Mark Andrews - Image Comics
It's good.
Normally i don't like costumed capers very much- but check out The Authority- The Magnificent Kev, by Ennis & Ezquerra from Wildstorm comics- the main character- Kev is brilliant, a complete c**t! The previous story arc, The Authority- Kev, is out as a Graphic novel, it's a laugh too- art by Fabry. Never read any other Authority stuff- too much lycra!
I just read #27 of The Walking Dead. I don't know if it's just that I'm a great big wuss or that Robert Kirkman is a superb writer (not forgetting Charlie Adlard's excellent artwork), but it made me feel so bad inside that I almost had an anxiety attack - and I don't *think* I even get anxiety attacks...
10/10. I think I need a hug...
:(
Yeah, I'm liking the current Walking Dead arc a lot. Some great moments in this issue, and it'll be interesting to see how the second half of this story plays out.
I quite like Zombie comics,I've enjoyed what ive read of Zombie World, Damn Nation was nice, like 28 days later remade in America and I even quite enjoyed bits of Toe Tags, although the Goodie zombie with a gun for a hand was the kind of idea I had when I was 12.
So Walking Dead is one of those books that I've heard a lot about but never actually picked up, there's only been 30 odd issues so far? That's not too much of a catch up (is there an ongoing arc or is it a series of self contained stories?) Maybe it's time I gave it a go.
Thanks, Max - that helps!
Scutfink - The Walking Dead is a very worthwhile read. It's terrific and intelligent human drama, with zombies. It's ongoing, with a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter, so no self-contained story arcs. The trade paperbacks are good value, and make compelling reading. There are only 4 to date, so it's still early days yet if you want to catch up on what's gone before.
"It's ongoing, with a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter"
Every issue I read before I turn to the last page I hear the thudding feem toon from the end of eastenders.
As for what I buy its...

Re Punisher, I think people forget that Ennis has been ploughing away on this title for ages now & thta its a really good read, well up there with his Preacher stuff.

Marbles and Satanist,
you're actually buying All Star Batman?
Sc it must have a redeeming feature after all?
"Sc it must have a redeeming feature after all?"
Yes its called the art ;-D
I know this is getting an utter kicking but I cant help but enjoy it. I sometimes laugh out loud at the overly macho dialogue that Batman spouts. The fact Robin cottons on that Batman is putting on a fake voice to appear more intimidating was cracking. I assume that was Millers intention or maybe I've missed the point entirely. Either way I get a laugh out of it.
Also it looks like things are gonna kick off in the next couple of issues.
