Title: 2000AD Bookmarks
Post by: Funt Solo on 04 April, 2006, 04:20:41 AM
Having just got some lovely toothy TPBs, I was thinking it would be especially groovy to have special 2000AD bookmarks to put in 'em.

So there.

Yeah, I'd second that. I'm using a folded up piece of A4 at the moment. I'd prefer a nice Dredd bookmark, or somesuch.

I'm using one of the cards Boo Cook had at Brighton, which is pretty cool. But 2k bookmarks would be nice.

You'd have to do it as a full set (ie judges, abc warriors, cabalistics etc) to make it worth buying.

Poofs!  Just leave the book open and face down- preferably on the floor, behind your chair (so that you roll over it when getting up from your desk).  Alternatively- open and face down on your desk, where it can be used to hold sandwiches that are dripping with mayo, or as a coaster for numerous cups of tea.

No, wait- that's my idiot mate that wonders why I won't lend him stuff...

I'd especially like a bookmark depicting the crazy ongoing adventures of Frazer Irving.

Bookmarks damage books. Simply use your memory to remember where you were in the book. It's not hard.

You might not find it hard but ... what were we talking about?

You could always make your own. I'm thinking of doing this. If you can't draw you could just use an existing image, and, with a little tinkering on Pshop - and some nice printer paper - bobs your uncle.

They should set them up like swop trumps type card too, so that they multitask.

Which ever bookmark/swapcard you want to swap at a con or a mart, just slip it into a book with an existing bookmark and get there.

All you need to decide is which superior magical tomb you are going to take!

Et Voila. It will be good. Just don't over design them. They need to be sent in a distant future and beleived to be the only remaining documents of infamous twothousandad charactors said to roam the earth a good millenia ago. You know to get into it like..

Ahem.

DXB,

Where are you buying your radioactive acid spitting razor edged Bookmarks from?

You should try the flat cardboard type.

:)

Even the flat card type damage a books spine in the long run.

Oh sure, in the long run...

You need to find books that are more Unputdownable (or should that be less Putdownable?).

:)
