Title: Best and Worst...
Post by: scutfink on 01 June, 2006, 06:00:01 PM
Totally off topic, I've been meaning to post something to this effect since that episode of Green Wing. Who are the best and worst famous people you've ever been compared to..

I got the best worst compliment ever last night...

Standing by the bar, waiting for the band to come on, making small talk with Girl1, Girl2 says...

'Doesn't he look like Superman...'

Pause  just long enough to think 'Well, I do wear glasses' and she follows up with....

'You know, the wheelchair one?'

Cheers for that love :)...

Best, purely for it's surrealism, has got to be the time  I was heckled with 'OI! ELVIS!'

(That'd be the lesser known long hair eighties student throwback era Elvis...)

Best & Worst: Curly ( Three stooges.) when I had a blade one or two shaven head.

I've been told I look like alot of the famous folk in sport, music and movies.

Though it's even stranger that they look nothing like each other.

I think I might have been lied to.

A man once sat down beside me on the corporation bus going to Dennistoun , Glasgow and insisted that I was Derek Hatton, former deputy mayor of Liverpool. The fact that I am not, don't look anything like him, am 20 years younger and am not Scouse didn't dissuade him at all. What he though Derek Hatton was doing on a number 36 is beyond me.

NOT me...

I'm not sure if *any* of mine can be classed as good, tbh. The most recent likening to was by a woman on the till in Sainsbury's who thought I look like "a young Ozzy Osbourne". :s

Other people I've been told I supposedly look like are:

Eric Martin from Mr Big
Miles Hunt from The Wonder Stuff
Alan Alda (according to DXB)
Emo Phillips
But the *worst* has got to be Shaun Ryder.

Did I say Alan Alda? I definatley said Snoop Dogg once. And in the final moments of 'Parting of the ways' I was heard to say "Blimey! Wils is The Doctor!"

Spiderwoman thought I looked like Daniel Bedingfield, others have seen my original art from Bec and Kawl and thought Kawl was me. My nephew thinks I could be a Raxacoricofallopatorian in disguise. I love the fact that he learnt how to say that word just to insult me.
