Can we have a big clock counting down the weeks to Origins please...
How about (if the 2K staff felt like doing something interesting by way of promotion) a "teaser" campaign - a panel or page fragment from Origins published here or in the prog every week until it begins?
Nah, I don't want it spoilering... I just think it would be a good jumping on point for lapsed readers if you start bringing attention to it
Does anyone else read it as "Judge Dredd: Onions"?

I'm not suggesting spoiling it, just running tantalising little panels or pieces of panels from the first few episodes. IIRC, 2000AD Review had a few panel fragments from the first episode of Savage Book II in their preview of forthcoming thrills. They didn't spoil anything, but they did hint at what might be in the story and got me a little hyped for Savage's return.
Think of the Thrills of the Future panel in the prog, then run it over six weeks in the lead-up to Origins with a single image from the story each week. Nothing spoiled, but a reminder that the story is coming soon & a little bit of art for fans to chew over.
Shut up and buy some books.
Can we have a big clock counting down the weeks to 'Judge Dredd: Onions'?
Like they did with the launch of Revolver and the arrival of Slaine: The Horned God?
Why doesn't Tharg just have an editorial at the start of each prog? As the weeks pass and Origins gets closer he can tease us with something along the lines of...
"Welcome to another pulse pounding thrill swollen organ earthlets, but wait what's that on the horizon? Its Origins the Dredd tale that will blow your puny human minds!"
As a matter of fact I don't know why he hasn't thought of it before.
I hate every metnion of Origins I've heard since we first found out it was coming. I can't seem to read a single prog review that doesn't say 'Dredd was good, but it's clearly just passing time till Origins.' 'Dredd seems dull and flat while we wait for Origins.' 'Origins is all we care about, can we have it now, please?'
I don't want to come across as a needlessly angry, miserable twat (I know, too late ;-)) but this sort of ludicrous hype is what has killed so many stories even before they've begun. I want it to be brill, not feel dissapointing in the face of pre-emptive fanboy gushing. Yes, it'll be good, but just wait for it patiently, eh?

Dark Jimbo's outburst was good, but it's clearly just passing time till Origins.
>Shut up and buy some books.
What? You can't have both?
Come on? Where is it? Don't make me do myself!
Tried a countdown clock but they wont let me post a flash thingy...
