The suicides of three detainees at the US base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, amount to acts of war, the US military says.
The camp commander said the two Saudis and a Yemeni were "committed" and had killed themselves in "an act of asymmetric warfare waged against us".

Actually, he has been pressuring the supreme court to accelerate the process of deciding how clasified evidence can be used in their trials, which has to be done before they can begin. He hopes the trials can take place later this year.

Is that despite the whole concept of holding someone without trial being illegal in the first place?
It is an affront to everything America pretends to stand for. To whit: freedom of association, freedom of worship, freedom to bo abut your own fucking business in your own fucking country and if there was any actual bona fide proof then maybe there might be a high profile trial or something?
