Title: EVE, D&D, Novels, DVDs...
Post by: Funt Solo on 12 June, 2006, 07:13:11 PM
Toys, novelties, party tricks...

Okay, at the risk of upsetting board etiquette (free pamphlet available from Art - just sendmail him), I'm posting another E-Bay sale thread, and this one has no 2000AD products in it (double crime!).

(On the plus side, this is my last E-Bay sale for a good while.)

On offer this week is an EVE Online character, some fantasy novels, tons of DVDs and some D&D D20 RPG kit.  If you're at all interested, you can have a look at the list of items I'm selling.

Cheers.

It'll annoy me if I don't ask but is 'Toys, novelties, party tricks...' a quote from the film 'Top Secret!'? Pretty sure it is...

How long did your character take to get to that level (and value!)? I've got a level 17 Urban Dead character that's worth 10p of anyones cash!

Oooh. Passive agression. Very grown up.

Aye, button - you clocked that one correctly:

"You dropped your phoney dog poo!"
"What phoney dog poo?"

I played EVE for about 6 months before realising it was essentially a thankless task - but foolishly I'd bought a years sub.  So I left the character training up long-term skills and now I'm selling it just to get my sub money back.

I would say, if you enjoy multiplayer tactics and gameplay, it's probably a lot more enjoyable - but for single player - unrewarding.

Art - I thought I was just being a smartarse, but I looked up Passive-Aggressive on wikipedia, and you're quite right.

On a completely unrelated note, thanks for recommending that DOM Scripting book yonks ago - it's going to be one of my major teaching texts next academic year.
