Post by: Dudley on 04 July, 2006, 05:33:58 PM
I just gave the care home next door my entire comic collection (700-present day, plus Megs, plus Crisis, plus graphic novels, EE's, misc).

Don't worry, you'll be buying it all back again in an nostalgia influenced ebay frenzy in a few years.

Nah - it's juvies.  Y'know - for kids...

Me, I've got a backlog of 45 novels and christ alone knows how many books of criticism & theory to get through.

Mister T pities fools, the rest of us must simply suffer them.

You madman.  As if a care home needed anti-authoritarian material infecting those kiddies' minds.  I blame the next riot squarely on you and Pat Mills.

James, it's actions like these that make life worthwhile! Just think of those kids getting the most out of your collection - and feel good about a job well done!

Congratulations on your good heartedness.

Dredd is most probably being introduced to Crayola as we speak...

Okay, so maybe there is a downside to moving to Cyprus and embracing a Mediterranean lifestyle after all.

When I used to manage a care home for kids I wouldn't have let any near the house carrying boxes of old comics 8-)

Shit, I hope my mum doesn't read this and get the bright idea of taking all my old Progs into her work for the little hooligans to destroy...

Seriously though, yes it is a good thing to do and your next life will undoubtedly be higher up the Wheel of Karma as a result.

Blimey!
When I moved country, I shipped my collection over, then completed it.

I don't think I could give my collection away.
