Any e-mails sent via this board now go straight to my bulk spam folder.  I personally blame Rebellion sending out press releases by e-mail for this.

If I ever don't respond to a mail from the board, it's just because I get a hundred e-mails a day some times in my bulk folder and I don't often notice the 2000AD ones before I delete them.

Anyway, as I say, I use board mail, but for the most part it's a waste of time.

do they send out that many? And wouldnt spending a few seconds adding a filter to a '2000AD' folder cure the problem?

They have in the past, and it's been like this for a while.  The only reason it goes down as spam I reckon is because that's what people have labelled it in the past when recieveing mail from Rebellion trying to sell them electric gronks and the like.

If anyone knows how I can change my yahoo settings, then I'd be grateful.  But I'll never be able to alter other people's settings.

Sorry for being so tetchy about this, but it really has been bothering me for a while.

It's a bit annoying, I agree- but it's not like we're paying for the service or anything.  I can't be bothered to work out my spam filters either and just empty my junk mail once a day, after checking to see if I'm popular with the rest of the board first.

It's a mostly fruitless exercise, mind...

PVS, why don't you go to the board to see the comments - that way you won't get emails.

Well that's a bit silly. How else is Rebellion supposed to send out press releases - by carrier pigeon?

No, we're not,and like much of the boad and it's functions, I find it very useful/entertaining and am very grateful it's there, and to the people who run it.

Part of the problem is I get annoyed even having to look through my spam and read all the junk titles.  I begrudge giving these spamming gits the satisfaction of wasting 5 minutes of my life every day.

Plus I seemingly seem to only spot 2000AD e-mails at the point where I've pressed the delete button.

For the last few months (at least, can't remember when this all started now) communicating with anyone on the board has been difficult and fustrating.

Not many. Hardly any. Why is PVS getting so many? And why aren't I getting them? Man, I'm feeling left out. LOL!

PVS, am I correct in thinking you get all message board posts delivered to your Yahoo email account? Am I right there?

Well no wonder you're getting stuff recognised as spam! Yahoo takes unread email addresses and puts them in your spam folder. If Joe Shmoe sends you an email and you don't read it for a while or delete it without opening it, and then Joe Shmoe sends you another, chances are Yahoo will regard it as spam and put it in the spam folder. That's what's happening. You're getting so many 2000AD emails that Yahoo can't keep up.

Solution: read all messages on the actual 2000AD board or throw away your computer and embrace nature instead.:)

The fact that they're taking more than 6 hours to send messages renders them a bit pointless really.

To set up a filter for Yahoo follow these quick and easy steps....

1. Click on Options (if using yahoo beta, it is on top righthand side of the mailbox)

2. Select Mail Options

3. On the lefthand side of screen will see list of options, select Filters

4. Click on "create or edit filters" - this will take you to old style yahoo.

5. Click "ADD" follow on screen prompts, add a filter name, choose rules you wish to add.

6. Choose a folder to send the emails to - this will also give you an option to add a new folder - then click create filter - a pop up comes up to add the name for the new folder.

7. Enter the name, click OK - and it's all set up.

PVS: I'm curious, I don't seem to get any emails via 2000ad email. I very very rarely get any from Tharg, but when I do get them, I always get two. (and there's always an option to remove myself from the emails)- what am I missing out on?

Oh, and I find the send mail function on the message board extremely useful for getting into touch with boarders quickly.

That is extremely helpful Oopsie Daisy.  

As I said, I can't do anything abouit e-mails that I send, but at least I'll get e-mails people send me now with any luck.
