Now this really does look interesting. It's based on King's novella in SKELETON CREW and it's directed by Frank Darabont who also did SHAWSHAK and GREEN MILE. Clearly a fan then...

Headcrabs!
I love the original story & it looks like they've captured the atmosphere just right. Should be good.
This'll be great I reckon. Short story was well creepy and this looks spot on. Also I think Tom Jane's an incredibly underrated actor, with the bonus that if he's in a movie it's easier to convince my girlfriend to go see it.
I really enjoyed the short story - I think I read teh collection way back in '95 in Kuala Lumpur while I was stuck waiting for a bus.
"This is what happened."
"And there's a great line about them "They fired atoms into the air up there". "Yeah but these were different atoms".
I will be looking forward to the 'The Talisman' mini-series if and when it going to be completed.
Dou you know if they adapted Four Past Midnight?
They did a version of The Langoliers which was OK. The effects were a bit early Playstation. They've done Secret Window, Secret Garden which was released as Secret Window starring Johnny Depp. Not a bad film but diificult to be surprised by the twist when you've read the book. Both are available on DVD. There has been talk of them adapting The Sun Dog for years but not heard anything recently.
BTW Steven King fans should know, Desperation is on the Scifi channel tomoz.
Beginning at nine, it'll run the entire evening.
