New series of The Mighty Boosh starts tonight on BBC3 at 10.30!
I'm a recent convert since I accidentally watched the episode with the underwater funk monster.
Love this bit from the trailer:
"theres no smoke without fire"
"what about smoke machines, eh?"
"Mmm, that's a powerful gouda."
I'll be watching it in the hope it's got better than it was before.
I've only watched a few episodes of The Mighty Boosh before because I found it hard work. But I liked the one with the goths, which I thought was funny from begin to end.
Yes, its on the listings for this eventide!
I am so looking forward to a bit of Boosh.
Has anyone bothered with the online viewing or like me, saved it 'til tonight?
I attempted to watch the live DVD some while and just couldn't get on with it-is it supposed to be funny?
Maybe I'm missing something, but it came out of the DVD player and I put some Bill Hicks on instead.
All the clips and outtakes I've seen make it look like a real laugh, but it does nothing for me.
Like Seinfeld. :)
excellent news indeed!
i've been watching all the first + second series in anticipation of tonight
i thought the first series was better to be honest, and i miss the introduction and banter between the two of them before the episode proper starts
then again, "the priest and the beast" from series 2 was particularly funny
thinky
For me "Boosh" falls into the same category as "Green Wing", "Black Books", "Hyperdrive" and even "Spaced": shows that are an absolute joy to watch even though you're not always falling about with laughter.
Huzzah! Another "Hyperdrive" fan!

Yes, I'll be taping the Boosh while I'm out tonight (no I'm not meeting Milky Joe). I like the show a lot, just makes me chuckle. Surreal stories and a very funny chemistry between the main two guys.
Saw them at Edinburgh Fringe with their Auto-Boosh show some years ago.
If you had to be either, who would you be? I'm afraid I'd be Vince Noir.
I watched it online over the weekend - very good stuff.
I'm afraid I'm probably Howard Moon, though I'd rather be Naboo.
I think you either love Boosh, or you just don't get it - a bit like Vic Reeves Big Night Out when it first aired. I'll definately be tuning in.
I dont really get it.
The first series was the funniest thing I'd seen in years. Probably since Spaced was on in fact. I do remember reading somewhere that it's biggest demographics were students and primary kids...
Wasn't so keen on the second, but will be tuning in tonight for sure.
Ah! Stuuuudddeeenttsss! Says it all really-and I used to be one!
I'll be taping it to watch tomorrow, right down with a bit of Boosh. We saw them live last year and it was possibly the funniest evenings in the history of evenings. Definitely something you either get or don't, but if you can tune into it there's much fun to be had.
Never bothered watching it before but I did like the Goths link so I might search out a few more clips to see if it's worth my time.
Put me down for a Hyperdrive Fan as well as I did "Marvel" at it's insanity!
Aww.. Evrerybody look at the moon.

I like the Boosh, but the live show was one of the most painfully unfunny things I've ever seen. I couldn't understand how they could go from such hilarity in the show to absolute cringe-worthyness on stage. I turned off the dvd when it got to the point where the fat guy was getting laughs up on stage just by saying the name of the town they were in. Dead man walking....
The live dvd did seem a bit flat, but on the night it was the most hilarious thing ever. Maybe I'd been hypnotized on the way in or maybe the atmosphere just wasn't captured on the dvd but it really was fantastic.
I wasn't too sure of it when I first saw it. Even now it is kinda daft but it has it's great moments. I find the surreality entertaining though. Last episode was so-so, that magical cockney geezer "Eeel!" seems a bit recycled from other series. The one with the bad mexican accents and the Betemax bandit was probably my favourite.
It was only the second episode I've ever seen but I loved it. the "EELS!!" bloke was actually a bit scary I thought. Nice dig at New Rave too. I fucking hate The Klaxons.
I'm definitely turning into a bit of a Boosh head.
Ah that was really good.
The cockney green bloke has been in before.
I of course now realise I made a terrible Mistake, I didn't mean Vince Noir the cool one, I meant Howard Moon. Though frankly I'm not even cool enough for a survival elbow patch, though maybe I'd go for a spicey beige if I'd had a few drinks first.
vince noir alas
PVS has taken time out from his busy schedule of moaning about Lawgiver Mark 2s ;) to lend me series 1 and 2 of the Boosh, I've watched most of the first one already. I feel able now to say I am pathetically more like Howard Moon than Vince.
My favourite is Bob Fossil though, he's brilliant! I'll miss the zoo but I'm glad that guy is still in it, he was great in last weeks as the worlds worst mystical blind Jazz man.
