Title: Robo-Hunter(s) by Fred Hembeck
Post by: Grant Goggans on 07 April, 2008, 07:02:18 PM
I commissioned American fan artist Fred Hembeck to do me a Robo-Hunter piece.  I'm so happy with the result that I wanted to share.

Image will be releasing "The Near Complete Essential Hembeck Archives Omnibus," more than 800 pages of Fred's work, later this month.  Watch for it!

Always with the swirly knees - love it!

Did he have any idea who Robo-Hunter was when you proposed it? I'd guess no but you never know.

No, he didn't... I had to send along some reference.  Later this year, I'm going to commission a reproduction of a 2000 AD cover, but have not decided which one.  Probably 350.  D.R. & Quinch Hembeck style!!

Sublime, I really like Hembeck's style. He always makes me think of Frank Sidebottom for some bizarre reason.
