Ha, I'd almost forgotten about that. Chris did a great job on art.
Thanks for picking the most disturbing image from the strip :)

A panel from The prophet by Derek Hamill and Andy Scordellis.
Also, the shop is now updated for the new comics, so if you can't make Bristol, but want your fix of FQ, visit the shop!

Thanks for picking the most disturbing image from the strip... PVS you've lost a bit of wieght in that picture!
My 'Not going to Bristol' order is now in and eagerly awaited.
Tulkas.
You gonna have comp copies at Bristol (if your still doing a contributor comp)?
Dunk- Order received, thanks.
James- Comps are certainly available at Bristol. The only title I'm not doing comps for is the family special. It has cost me too much to get these printed (48 pages, full colour for a pound) so if you want one, you have to put yer hand in your pocket.
Bolt-01
A WHOLE POUND? FOR 48 PAGES OF STAGGERINGLY GOOD STRIP BY SOME OF THE WORLD'S TOP SMALL PRESS TALENT INCLUDING ME? ARE YOU MAD!?!?!?
I may come for the saturday for a couple of hours, if so I'll drop by and say howdy.
Yup, one WHOLE pound. And this isn't going to be in the shop either. The way Paypal works it isn't worth it.
Bolt-01
Opps and there's me sending you a pound vis PayPal to pop one in with my order.
What more can i do to secure this coloured reprint of work i gave for free in the first place? :)
Dunkas!
Dunk- and anyone else, if you really want a copy of the special- which I really believe is well worth more than a pound, but I want to be able to sell this to kids; then send me £1.50 via the paypal and I'll happily sort it.
Except for Dunk- as you've already paid for one...
Y'know- I remember when I was just an ignorant pencil monkey- happily scribbling my life away and dreaming of breaking into comics...
Ah, who am I kiddin' this publishing game is the best fun I've ever had, and cheaper than golf!
Bolt-01
Bolt me orders in, what do you mean Bristol comes first?
Don't fret- I'll be harvesting comics that are paid for up front out of the stock.
Hopefully I'll get these in the post asap.
Bolt-01
Actually Bolt, Mr. Bamforth's lovely cover there reminds me that I must give you that magazine I've been meaning to pass on to you for about four months...
This family issue sounds interesting - got any more info?
I'd been waiting for the chance to draw a comic cover for years, you know, to really show off my drawing and composition skills, then when it finally happens what do I draw? The planet Earth and a knife and fork.
GIANT FLOATING CUTLERY SPACESHIPS!
Careful with the spoilers Dudley..!
Ade- thems the breaks! Actually it is a fantastic image and one of the stronger covers IMO.
Byron- I'll hopefully have some previews of the colour pages later today.

And finally a panel from Fotunate son, originally in FQ 05.
All these strips have been tweaked in some way- either with new colour, or in some cases new script and lettering.

My drawing of the alien mothership becomes giant saggy space breasts so easily.
What does that say about me?:[backslash]
Dropping a line in to say that all the comp copies have gone into the post today. Many thanks to all those involved and here's hoping the next issue goes as smoothly.
Remember that the comics are available from the shop and I've just dropped MangaQuake 04 (PJ Holden cover) to a mere one pound per issue.
Cheers
Bolt-01
Got mine today, cheers Bolty. Haven't read it yet but flicking through looks top notch all round.
Ditto!
Huff
Mine arrived today - thanks. Not entirely sure my seven panels warranted a comp but thankj you very much. (And also a Zarjaz which I wasn't expecting so double thanks).
What I've read so far has been jolly good fun.
Why don't you have a wee editorial at the front of FUTUREQUACK? I enjoy that sort of thing.
Oh and I should say that Simon Penter's art on THE JOY OF TEXT is gobsmackingly beautiful - it looks brillinat on the printed page.
Bit rude though! Which strip was yours Tips?
Heh, Strip is a good clue...
Bolt-01
Good stuff all round! And with a cover concept that's perfect FutureQuake.
Also, Simon Penter is really upping his game these days isn't he?
Penter is great. Actually, a lot of the art in the books these days is just really good (also in Omni and World of Weird, zarjaz, etc.). Very high standards.
Cheques in the post boys - cheers!
I'm not sure if 'that story' will make it onto the website though.......unless I draw on a load of 'CENSORED' boxes.
:-)
