A nice, if short piece on the Beeb website, with Frank Quitely - note that chin! - and Alan Grant.

Typical BBC niche reporting - I can't imagine there's that many Scotsmen working in comics.

Hmmm. There are a lot.

That article mentions Frank Quitely, Jamie Grant, Grant Morrison, Alan Grant and Cam Kennedy.

Off the top of my head, I can also think of John Wagner (American by birth, grew up in Scotland), Colin McNeil, Simon Fraser, Ian Kennedy, Mark Millar and Gordon Rennie.

If you count lots of DC Thomson people, and all that crazy bunch in Glasgow who did Electric Soup and Northern Lights, that's plenty.

Apologies for any very well known ones I've forgotten. It's late at night!
