Hi, everyone!
I'm currently thinking about buying a Blackberry and I wondered if any techno-savvy Squaxx had any advice?
Would I be better off buying a laptop?
I'm really new to all this technology - I'd never really used a PC until about six months ago - so it's all a bit daunting and a bit of a black art to me.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Best wishes to all,
Sefton Disney
you may want to consider a net book or a iphone
with these items you get the push functions of the blackberry plus lots of other stuff.
net books are fun for communicatoins and web based stuff, light and good reasonable price also.
i phones and itouch, are a wow, but if your not into pc or mac so much may be a slightly one step ahead for you at this time.
i own a touch and a laptop. perfect combination, but i live in a WI-FI free of charge enviroment so thats a plus factor
wi-fi = no wires no charges, internet access almost everywhere. (singapore)
Thanks for the help, DD!
Singapore sounds like Internet heaven.
Isn't there a lot of censorship there, though?
I currently use a Sony Ericsson P1i when I'm out and about, but will be making a move I think to the new 3GS iPhone when it is released next week.
QuoteSingapore sounds like Internet heaven.
no that title goes to seattle, i spent some time there last year, the whole city is wi-fi free, cafes have sockets for lap tops, at every table!
i sat in the park, drinking a cappucino from the orignal starbucks, munching on a decent pizza, just down from the market, looking out to sea at the mountains, on SKYPE with the wife, clear as day,
it was my kirk to the federation admiral moment. i had always wanted to do that. since it was first on star trek.
but seattle is the finest place on earth for this. 100% wi-fi everywhere within city limits. incredible place.the internet cannot be censored, even here in singapore, much as they do try.
Glad to hear it, Devons Daddy. I may be new to all this technology but I'm becoming quite evangelistic about it, especially the way it can give a voice to the voiceless. And us Star Trek fans, of course.
