Title: Simple question.
Post by: Kerrin on 30 July, 2009, 12:42:25 PM
I've written a short story for the comp in Open Office but I can't work out how to post it. I'm sure it's straightforward but I haven't got a clue what format to save it in or how to tranfer it here. Any advice will be gratefully received.

Cheers Kerrin.

I use open office too, an dlast time I had the same problem. I just did the old cut and paste, and proofread it again after doing so. Sorry I can't be much of a help, but I'm sure there are smarter blokes than me on the forum.

Cheers locust, I managed to work it out, well one method anyway. I saved it as a HTML document and then inserted it as a quote, deleted the
Quotethings and Bob's your uncle. There is probably a much easier method but it'll do this time.

I'm going to mosey on over to the comp thread now and have a read!

I usually just copy and paste and then go through it one more time to add extra line breaks etc. Doing it this way is also a good opportunity for one last proof read, although I generally miss something despite all that...
