Right now, I am downloading "The Dig"

Judging from the little back story I've read. I'd say that the people responcible for that film "Armageddon" ripped off LUCUSARTS unless of course George was the director or one of the producers or the fellow who came up with the idea for that film.--Worth looking up later, but not right now.-- It does mention down the page that its based on story written by Alan Dean Foster.
Anyway, I will ooking forward to some voice over work from Robert Partick. The man behind the second terminator droid in "T2".
The Digg.... Only five dollars care of STEAM.
Definite similarites there, my flat-mate at university was obsessed by this game. It irritated me as we were both studying archaeology and I'd long been annoyed by hollywood's fondness for blaming my profession for uncovering "ancient and terrible evils"
My brother's a skip-wagon driver, my dad a builder. Neither jobs get blamed for anything in movies yet more people die (probably - from having skips put on top of them or accidents on site).
Pet peeve. Sorry. Won't happen again.
Still, a pretty good game aside from all that and a steal at the price. Tuck in everyone.
It's a great game with a good story. Enjoy it :D
I think I will nejoy this game. Once I get into it.
Having already watched the introductory sequnce an fiddling around withthe working of it. I just got to the bit where three artonauts in rocket packs are floating right next to the asteroid.
As of the last couple of year, my attentions been devided betwent the computer screna nd the cable televsion. This combined with a reduced ttention span as I have gotten older. From the way I hardly ever bother with reading intructions manuals anymore
.
I will get into it. I promice. Like I paid a whole five dollars for it and moneys really tight at the moment.
Yet I've downloaded the full version of "BC KINGS" A Caveman vs Mutants with dinosaurs, gaint insects, sabre tooth tigers, acidic grubs, fire breathing flying reptiles. The graphics a three dimencional --count the polygons-- with plasticeny quality too that I find to my likening if even it seems alittle childish. I suggest you purchase this download at only ten dollars care of STEAM as well.
Might give the Dig a go. It's the only LUcasarts game I haven't tried. That said, I've just downloaded the remake of Monkey Island as well as Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis - so I'll probably go through them first.
If anything 'The Dig' reminded me of the first couple of Rendezvous with Rama books, moreso the second one

I was looking at those Indiana Jones games. Last Crusade and Fate of Atlantis. The last one I am particually interested in. Anything to do with Atlantis is interesting to me.
Besides they are only five dollars AUD a pop and while thats a bargain, I won't purchase them just yet as I'd be otherwise going over my quota.
There's quite few of those cheap gems if you spend enough time looking for them.
Never played this but was a huge Lucasarts adventure fan and loving that there's such a resurgence just now. Been playing the Sam&Max episodes which are great, plus new Monkey Island and now this is available again. Must give it a go.
Didn't realise Robert Patrick did voice acting in it, always thought he was pretty underrated, he's got a lot of presence. His little brother Richard is one of my favourite vocalists too. You can see the family resemblance, it's like a T-1000 with added scream function.

I just watched "Armegeddon " again this weekend and was wondering if I should be surprised that I thought Billy Bob Thornton was playing the exact same character voice acted by Rpbert Patrick in the film. I thought he had the same name.
Not altogther sure though.
Anybody thats seen the film should know that he was in the whole time and never on the shuttle for that particular misson.
