Yeah, P.M. me everytime somebody mentions Slaine. I know it's biaz, but you should know me well enought by now. That anything Slaine interestes me.
Besides, it's tough trawling through several years worth of threads and posts everytime I type Slaine into th 2000AD online search engine and might only do this if I'm paid to.
BTW, I tried typing Pat Mills into the search engine and starting reading about Pat Mills intertview way back in August 2004. Something to do with Slaine and Secret Commonwealth, Simon Birchams art work, Andy Diggle and David Bishop.
Damn, I forgot he URl, but I noticed that within the 2004 timeline. Usher mentioned reading something in "Thrill-Power Overload" if I'm not mistaken about that publication.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrill-Power_Overload (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thrill-Power_Overload)
Which it wasn't until about just over year ago. --I guess--. I think I got mine at around about that time.
So, is that a glitch in the time continuim or what?
Maybe that subjects discussed some time in the last year and it's been missdated.
Despite the actual date of this interveiw.

Thrillpower Overload started life as a series of articles in the Judge Dredd Megazine, and that's probably what Usher was referring to. The (marvelous) book you own is the collected, extended and updated version of those articles.
I hereby undertake to PM Thryllseekr everytime I see Slaine mentioned here. Although it should be noted that it's generally TS that is doing the mentioning.
Damn and I thought somebody had unwittiingly entered a wyrmhole in time.

There might be an option where your search results might be ordered by most recent and working backwards.
That way with minimal effort you can keep updated with the most recent posts that mention the word Slaine without you having to rely on someone else to PM you everytime the word or subject is mentioned.
"Yeah,*Please* P.M. me everytime somebody mentions Slaine. I know it's biaz, but you should know me well enought by now. That anything Slaine interestes me....

Thats what i was getting at as well.Just the audacity of it really.
The obsessive who is completely lacking in social skills pops up and makes some unreasonable request that couldnt possibly have been worded any more impolitely and then disappears again .
Still it was funny and is what the internet and forums are all about.
Slaine........
Someone PM or forward Thryllseeker this post.
QuoteThe obsessive who is completely lacking in social skills pops up and makes some unreasonable request that couldnt possibly have been worded any more impolitely and then disappears again
Hey, that's democracy for ya.
Plus, the man
really likes his Slaine - it's not like he hasn't proven that time and again. I've no problem helping him out with this.
I got a shitload of limes from the greengrocer for £1.00 the other day. Kicking back and eating fresh home-made lime marmalade and sipping lime daiquiris I thought "You know who'd really enjoy these limes? Yeah, Slaine! He'd kick a real kick out of them. There's a man with an eye for a bargain."

Thats OK and its fine to help him out and i understand his obsessiveness and its not really unreasonable but i just dont get why its so difficult to ask and say please and thank you.

Now what will happen if the lad comes across that thread and thinks "Slaine
would get a kick out of these limes. Now why wasn't I pm'd about this?"
TordelBack, the man asked to be notified about every Slaine topic, so you'd better do just that. To be on the safe side.
Mmmm, good point Locusts. Tell you what, everytime Slaine is mentioned why don't you PM to remind me to PM Thryllseekr?

That thing about being paid was really in jest. Unlesss you really want to of course and is there trick with the new search engine that. Not that I am knocking it. I am very impresssed all the new changes to the forum and website. Particually the sub-routines that are keeping me indefinitely logged in. I've been logged in for atleast a day now ;) since the site revamped 8)

Whoah, thats abit harsh, but sadly true.
I didn't think my poor social skills were so obvious on the forum,. Must be all the time spend here on the computer and not meeting people in the flesh.

I know I should have added that I'm only referring to major discussions on Slaine and not fleeting references. But that was funny to read anyway..

Thata good example of the fleeting Slaine references that even I would consider too obssesive. You needn't bother in that case and remember it's only a request and not a order. I should mentioned thsi when I first asked but as I write alot of things and often what ends up on the page is not exactly what I had in mind. It's strange querk of mine thats abit of a inpediment to my english writing skills.
Yeah, so only do this on that account of reasonable sized discussion Slaine. It might be concerning episodes, story arcs that are still pending, news that there is film and GTA styled game in the works -however unlikely--or Slaine stuff of similer importance.
It may another pronouciation thread or who were those Cythrons anyway? . I've got some thing to say about those.
It may also be about the merging of Celtic myth & history according to Slaine as well. Stuff like that is very interesting to me. Like a few months ago when I was googling for information on the "Mystical Twelve Doors of Eternity" and found a article on the "Twenty-two combat manuevers that Chuchulain --Coo-chuu-lain-- learnt from that well known Scottish witch" Interesting stuff that Pat Mills has merely hinted at briefly in "Warriors Dawn" and lately in the forward to last edition of the "Horned God" Saga.
.But before I get too carried away.....
. It's only a requiest, not a order.
I didn't think it would hurt to request this on the conditon that I'm having problems finding any descent Slaine discussion that happened recently. Of course, I will be combing the threads as I must.
I's easy enough to find a topic with Slaine or Slaine related as opposed to 2000AD related in the heading.of a thread.
If a Slaine discussion --like I have discribed-- should go further than a page without my contribution.
Then I would like to know, if it's not a problem.
Please and thank you and I appologise for any offence. .
.

Apologies TS as i was a bit harsh before but i was just in that kind of mood at the time.
No Problems :D
