Title: PS3 Plunge
Post by: Dan Kelly on 19 August, 2009, 09:32:29 AM
With the announcement of the PS3 Slim I'm going to take the Plunge and grab one as soon as is feasible (i.e. cash and availability willing)

However, what else do I need?  Second controller?  What games are a must have?

Help me Hive Mind!

Second controller for sure.

Games:

My favourites are

LBP, MGS4, Valkyria Chronicles, Singstar and Motorstorm 2.

There's some good stuff for download too.

If you like baseball, MLB '09: The Show is pretty much awesome.  If you don't, then I have no ideas. :P

So is the fat old PS3 going to fly down in price? If so, can we use this thread to post up cheapo prices?

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the must have game. My favorite series.

If you're into fighting games and don't already them for Xbox 360, I recommend Soul Calibur IV and Street Fighter IV.

What exactly is the difference between slim and fat?  Other than the obvious, I mean.  Have they left stuff out?

Well I've done

It's sat under my desk.  Goes home tonight.

Got it with Arkham for £269, and shelled out for +1 controller, blue ray remote and cable which were all on offer.

Anything I need to do other than update to 3.0 before I sit down and enjoy?
