Title: Forum - Troubleshooting
Post by: Emperor on 03 September, 2009, 05:16:19 PM
Following on from this (http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,25665.msg450475.html#msg450475), is there anything that you need a moderator to fix, that is not serious enough to use the post reporting system?

Then post here.

Time is previous commodity so use sparingly and don't expect an instant response.

So to kick this off, some possibilities:

Move to Film and TV? - it isn't 2000 AD news for starters:
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26107.0.html
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26083.0.html

It may be you want to merge the Lobo one here:
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26099.0.html

Move to Off Topic? - it seems more appropriate to that forum:
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,24364.0.html

Move to General? Doesn't seem a suggestion:
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26019.0.html

Marvel/Disney threads - we now have four in at least three forums and while it might not be possible to merge them all it might be an idea to have them in the same froum (presumably Books & Comics or Off Topic if it felt it has implications across more media):

I've merged a couple of those and moved a couple.

I've left the Life Sprugs/droks where they are as they're like 40 pages and a bit of a permenant fixture.

I left the suggestion one alone as it felt a bit like a suggestion of how to expand the character to start with, so it sits nicely where it is rather than any other discussion.

Feel free to post some more. Feels like we need more mods up ins.

Thanks for that.

It might be a crazy idea but would it be an idea to split this off to a prog 664 thread in the prog review forum? Quite a few people are doing read-throughs from the start or filling in gaps and you could eventually build up threads for a whole range of progs. Granted that is a lot of threads but that's really Thargs fault for being so successful:

I'd be happy with that and, in fact, wasn't sure if that was the best place for it to begin with.

Split off the Prog 664 post and moved Wind Farm to off topic. Do people want the redirect threads to mark when a thread has been moved? They don't really affect me, since I do most of my browsing on the View Active Topics option?

One for a renaming as there are two typos in the title - not a priority I know but...:

Re my earlier post in another thread about the progsite being available on the mobile Internet- when I'm in forums (on my phone) I can't post new topics, only answer to existing ones.

Would it be worth just having the one comic swap thread? If so these:

http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,25333.0.html
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,25407.0.html

Could be merged into this:
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,24383.0.html

Also this might fit in there:

Don't see any particular reason to merge swap threads into one, but I have moved them all into classifieds.

Cheers.

It came up because I had something to swap but wasn't sure if I should bump the longer thread, tag it on the end of the most recent, or start my own. If people's swap lists were an ongoing thing then it might make sense to have them in one place. So really it stems from modest confusion (the story of my life ;) ).

Perhaps merge these two and keep it in News (as is suggested in the second thread):

http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,26402.0.html

Both threads are pretty big now, merging them would probably make the thread appear weird. Might as well leave them and hopfully the least interesting one falls off the bottom.

A double post with a request to delete this one to avoid confusion:

One to be moved to Off Topic?
http://2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,11460.0.html

Also a few that might be worth moving here:

Righto.

One to move to Creator Commons?

It might actually be there is a thread it can be merged to.

Perhaps shimmy this over to "Other Review":

And merge these two threads on the Watchmen prequels/sequels:

FAO Moderators,

I wonder if you could move this thread:

http://www.2000adonline.com/forum/index.php/topic,32118.0.html

From 'Books & Comics' to the 'General' forum as it is a publication with a 2000AD theme?

Thanking you,
- John
