Title: A half-remembered film
Post by: JayzusB.Christ on 07 September, 2009, 02:13:30 PM
Juat got to thinking last night about a film i watched as a kid (when the folks were out, it was all sexy and that).
It was possibly a foreign language one, about an attractive female teacher marooned on an island teaching two kids.  The kids hated her and she was very strict, but (in hindsight I realise) it was an expression of her sexual frustration: There was some young guy on the island who she kept coming on to, including rubbing his balls, but our man failed to pitch a trouser tent every time. I think he turned out to be gay or something. There was a surreal underwater scene as well.
Anyway it was very sexy and weird, wouldn't mind watching it again. Er, for curiousity and nostalgia's sake, you understand. Anyone know this one?

I don't think you remembered this film, I think you dreamt it.  ;)

What year/decade was it when you first watched the film?

Lol.
When I was about 10 years old me I was hunting for Christmas presents when I found a vhs video tape in the back of my parents wardrobe. I thought it was a sci-fi film because it was called "Orgasmic Explosions"  The ironic thing is when my Mum caught me and my best friend watching it she shouted out the thread starters name!!

Orgasmic explosions was what was written on the the tape the actual film title was "Star Virgin" imdb link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079949/

I actually found a tape that was called "Last American Virgin" but what had been taped over it was "American Werewolf in London". So I was left confused and scared but couldnt say why as I shouldnt have seen it.

Heh. No, it was actually an arty film, therefore not porn exactly. Probably on that dreadful Channel 4 thing.
It was probably the early 90's when I saw it, anyway.  Pretty sure I didn't dream it too, there was no difficult running away, or struggling to fly a few feet above the ground, or being at school again with important exams the next day and no study done, which pretty much sums up all my dreams.

Haven't seen the movie, but that's the plot of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's (f**k the accents) short story Miss Forbes' Summer of Happiness.  So could it be this adaptation:

Wow could we actually have this film nailed. Having looked at the imdb entry it certainly seems to be close. Well done that man.

Nice one. I once caught the end of a 1980s French film where a small boy walked in on a man in his late thirties having it off with somebody he shouldn't in a fashionable apartment. The boy turns around and runs off. The man realizes he's been caught in a compromising position (the boy shouldn't have seen him, especially not with her) and, worried for the boy's safety, runs after him, but the boy runs out onto the balcony and falls off and dies.

The End. Has anybody else seen that one?

Not quite how I remember it, but from a long-ago infatuation with the lovely Mathilda May I recall something similar being the starting point of arty boobfest La Passerelle.

Ah, Mathilda, the only two good things about the terrible Lifeforce.
