I am surprised it wasn't published as it is a solid enough story with some superior art, it was a nice use of greys. Also wonderfully lettered, of course. ;)

I think, when Warhammer monthly folded they had about two years of inventory material. Suspect the last few years of buying material where a tax dodge, a la the producers...

IIRC, the curtain came down very quickly and with surprisingly little notice on the Black Library stuff, and there was quite a lot of stuff that never saw the light of day. (I wasn't working for them by this stage, but I still knew a fair few people who were.)

Shame, because it's a fuckin' lovely art job by PJ, too.

TBH, captions are not the most challenging of lettering elements! Glad to see the thing finally made public, and happy to help.

Thats quite beautiful and i particularly like the pallete of greys used and i especially like the final widescreen panel.

Also the caption boxes that are white on black instead of black on white are very striking and unusual. I dont think that i have seen that done anywhere else.They might well have been but since i havent seen them used anywhere else i wouldnt know.
