Title: HALLOWSCREAM! 2010 Special Submission Guidelines.
Post by: M.I.K. on 27 February, 2010, 06:41:44 PM
Following the success of the Back From The Depths Hallowscream Special in 2009, (available online as a free downloadable pdf file), we've decided to do it all again this year. That means we're once again looking for contributors. Here's this year's guidelines, (barely altered from last year's guidelines 'cos I'm feeling incredibly lazy)...

Bump (in the night)!

Just a reminder that those of you still working on strips for this need to get them done for next month.

Also, Back From The Depths now has a new forum. Neither myself nor Mr. McNasty can sign into the old forum any longer, so we can't post the news over there, but details can be found here...

... and here's the new forum itself : http://www.hallowscream.net/ (http://www.hallowscream.net/)

The deadline isn't until the week before Halloween, if I remember correctly from last year...

That issue has 35,000 hits! Crazy!

According to the link above the straight script submissions have gone though, unless that was submitted. I understand there are different deadlines for separate submissions (by that I mean straight script and art) and fully completed strips, and it's the strip one that's still outstanding?

Only if you were thinking of submitting a script. If you want to have a go at doing a complete strip, some kind of full page artwork or drawing the piccies for one of the scripts I've still got piled up here, then you've still got a bit of time.

The strip one and the artwork one.

I know, and that's just via myebook (which is especially impressive because I think you need to be signed up to the site in order to read it on there).

If you can think of anything that will suit my style I'll be happy to help out :)

I think I've got just the thing.

PM me your email address and I'll send you a script for a one-pager.

Roughly 40 pages completed for the new issue so far, but we could still do with a few more artists, (and a couple of folk have pulled out because of 'real life' stuff getting in the way).

Still got a whole heap of scripts needing drawing up, although at this late stage you arty folk might want to stick to one of the two or three page stories.

Still drawing my own one-pager dude. That BLOODY real life, eh? If I get it done in reasonable fashion I'd be up for doing more.

I have some stuff still to send you M.I.K., but it'll be a while yet. Still okay to hit the deadline though.

Got a couple of short scripts here that I'd like to see included in the next issue. I'll email them to you later on and you can take your pick.

I refer the right honourable gentleman to the answer I gave a few moments ago.
